Partnering with AMF

We are often approached by groups that want to partner with us and we are very grateful for this generosity and welcome ideas. We have policies in place that guide how these relationships are structured and potential plans do need to be approved by AMF. Below we have provided further details on common partnerships.
  1. Proceeds from sales of a product
  2. Fundraising platforms
  3. Other donations

1. Proceeds from sales of a product

AMF has different policies on partnerships involving the sale of a product, depending on how much of the proceeds will flow to AMF. Please read the sections below to determine which policy would apply to you, and then please do .

100% of revenue

AMF may approve partnerships where 100% of the revenue flows to AMF. In this case, the AMF logo can be used in any publicity material. It is fine to mention in advance of a sale that 100% of the revenue will pass to AMF, and/or include a page on the organisation's website describing support for AMF.

Less than 100% of revenue

AMF may approve partnerships where less than 100% of the revenue from sale of a product flows to AMF. In these cases, we do not allow any mention of AMF in advance of or during the sales process. This is to avoid the appearance that AMF's brand is being used to generate sales or profits for a company. (We recognise this is rarely the intent of the organisation. However, there have been cases involving other charities where revenues have been generated from an association with a charity and little was passed on, resulting in negative publicity.) We are very happy for organisations to indicate publicly that they support AMF, but we do not allow language that makes a link between donations to AMF and the specific revenues or profits from a product or organisation.

2. Fundraising platforms

AMF may approve partnerships with fundraising platforms, where users are offered the opportunity to donate to AMF. If you are interested in adding AMF to your fundraising platform, please with answers to the following questions. Before answering these, it may be helpful to look at how we interact with donors - 'Behind the scenes' and 'Donations to distributions' could be good places to start.

  1. How does your platform work?
  2. Who are the people behind your organization?
  3. What fees are charged?
  4. Are you for-profit or not-for-profit?
  5. What donor data would be passed to AMF?

3. Other donations

We are very happy for organisations to indicate publicly that they support AMF. An organisation could decide, for example, to support AMF by donating a fixed or variable amount each month, often on a dedicated fundraising page, and make staff and customers aware of this support. We do ask that we are informed, ideally in advance, so we can provide information and support as appropriate and ensure there are no issues we wish to raise.

Please note that in these circumstances we do not allow publication of how donations might be linked to sales or profits. Please see section 1 above.
