RetiCAM MT01 tripod has a standard 1/4-20 screw so it will definitely fit the two cameras you mentioned. The vast majority of consumer cameras are fitted with 1/4-20 UNC threads, and some professional equipment may have 3/8-16 thread, but they often come with an adapter. Hope this helps.

With the redticam you can take off the camera to replace batteries or take other shots then return to pretty much the exact same position you were at which is helpful in some shots.
