The American Geriatrics Society (AGS) is a not-for-profit society of geriatrics healthcare professionals dedicated to improving the health, independence and quality of life of older people. AGS supports geriatricians, geriatrics nurse practitioners, social workers, family practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists and internists who are pioneers in advanced-illness care for older individuals, with a focus on championing interprofessional teams, eliciting personal care goals and treating older people as whole persons.
Virtual Patient Cases from AGS is a collection of 13 free CME modules, 10 of which are available on the AMA Ed Hub. These educational modules are focused on helping improve the care of older adults. The 10 cases featured on the AMA Ed Hub are related to the geriatrics aspects of surgical and related medical subspecialty care, while three cases, available on the AGS site, highlight the assessment of older drivers.

The AGS Virtual Patient Cases on the Assessment of Older Drivers
Developed through a cooperative agreement between AGS and the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) this education provides virtual patient simulations of clinical encounters with three older drivers. This free set of cases offers an opportunity for healthcare professionals to learn how to incorporate the safety needs of older drivers while diagnosing and managing a patient in a virtual clinical encounter.
