About SAGECare Education

SAGECare is the LGBT aging cultural competency training and credentialing program offered by SAGE.

SAGE is the largest and oldest American organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT older people. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in New York City, SAGE is a national organization that offers supportive services and consumer resources to LGBT older people and their caregivers.

SAGECare Education on the AMA Ed hub features modules on LGBTQ-affirming language, on understanding the nuances of working with patients who are also transgender and a podcast offering concrete suggestions and ideas to get your staff engaged in LGBT inclusion.

SAGECare Education is appropriate for anyone engaging with older patients. Each activity features concise and practical information that can help to ensure that you and your team can provide affirming services to LGBT older people.
