Welcome to the Home of the Pioneers
Where Character Counts
Welcome to the Pope Valley Elementary website. Learning and fun go hand in hand in our kindergarten through eighth-grade classrooms. We are a tight-knit community of hard working, hard playing, success-oriented individuals who work together to bring about the academic and personal success of every student in our care. Please visit the pages on this website to learn more about us.
COVID-19 Update
The Board of Trustees for the Pope Valley Union Elementary School District unanimously adopted on May 21, a modified calendar for the 2020–2021 academic year that attempts to mitigate a possible fall, winter, or spring closure due to a resurgence of COVID-19. While we wanted to open for in-person instruction to provide as many weeks as possible before going online, we are unable to do so. Due to the current "watch list" status of the county, the California Department of Public Health has determined that we are not able to open at this time. School will not reopen July 20. The current start date for reopening is unknown. For more information, please see the cancellation letter below.
The PVUESD is working together with the County of Napa and other districts in Napa County with regards to COVID-19. Napa Valley Unified has created a web page that maintains information for all county schools. At this time, all field trips, special events, and other non-school activities have been cancelled through April 14. The information on the Napa Valley Unified website reflects information provided by the Napa County Health Department and will be updated regularly. PVUESD will be in contact with families if any additional responses are needed.
