During the course of 2019 we will be moving from a paper-based to an online DBS application process for organisations in England and Wales.
AccessNI in Northern Ireland already operates an online application process.
In Scotland, anyone whose role involves 'regulated work' should now be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme, including those previously checked under the old Disclosure system.
