Collection boxes

When you are out and about in the shops, cafes, pubs,  petrol stations etc please keep  an eye out to see if they have a SFTD charity box on the counter. If they don't you could ask them if they would be willing to have one. Please let Stuart know by calling him on 832212 if you find a new site or if the box is full and needs changing.

Every box out there raises the profile of the charity and brings in extra cash to help run the charity, its pennies  from heaven which make pounds for the charity.

If you are able to helpout by looking after some of our existing sites -please contact Stuart.

What a great night we had

Last night we had a brilliant Social night at Douglas Bay yacht club.

Whilst guests arriving we were challenged by a general knowledge quiz which guaranteed  bonding between the people sitting together. It was lovely to see quite a few familiar faces but also lots of new people enjoying the night.
The next warm up was a music quiz, that tested our brains quite substantially. Luckily this was followed by a tasty meal to give us some energy for what followed. A very unexpected sports event, indoor horse races. Some of us were turned into real jockeys and the crowd could place their bets. For those who had not been lucky at the horse races the night ended with a raffle with some lovely prizes for whom we have to thank some very generous sponsors.  A big thank you also has to be sent out to Gillian and Neil Johnson, who very kindly organised this successful event.

Thanks to Douglas Bay Yacht Club and John for helping with the event which raised £361 for the charity.
If anyone has pictures they took on the night can they please post them on Facebook.
