Harken International Youth Match Racing Championship 2005
Broken Bay, New South Wales, Australia

The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club is preparing for the return of the ISAF Grade 3 Harken International Youth Match Racing Championship to Broken Bay, Australia and extends an invitation to clubs and Member National Authorities (MNA) to submit an application.
The Harken International is one of major events on the international youth match racing circuit. The ISAF Grade 3 event invites some of the world's most talented youth sailors under 21 years of age to go head to head in the new fleet of Force 24' keelboats.

The Championship attracts teams from France, Italy, Ireland, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, USA, Sweden, New Zealand and from across Australia.

Twelve teams of four crew will be invited to contest this year's Championship from 1-4 December. The teams will sail a complete round robin with the top six placed teams will progress through to a three match repechage/knockout round, where the team at the bottom of the ladder after each three match decider will be knocked out of the competition. This will continue until there are only two teams remaining. The two remaining teams will then sail a best of five final to decide the winner of this year's event.

Teams interested in competing can download the Notice Of Race and the Application For Invitation or email the Yachting Office of the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club for further information.

Application forms must be submitted to the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club by 3 November. Successful teams will be notified of acceptance by 4 November.
