2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games Nanjing 2014

Nanjing (CHN) – 28.08.14

 

The second Youth Olympic Games Nanjing 2014 have ended.

 

Our 330 technicians assisted by 450 volunteers have done a great job under the colours of OMEGA.

 

They provided state-of-the-art timing service, display and data processing throughout the 41 sports on the programme. Congratulations to them.

XX Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2014

Glasgow witnessed the Closing Ceremony of the XX Commonwealth Games on Sunday 03.08.14.

 

LONGINES – Official Timekeeper – sent over to Glasgow more than 190 timekeepers and 122 tons of equipment.

 

To underline the great success of the event and the excellent collaboration, Eckhard Frank, COO of Swiss Timing, handed the famous bell of the last lap to David Grevemberg, CEO of Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014.

 

Countdown Clock in Zermatt (SUI)

Zermatt (SUI) - 14.07.14

 

On July, 14th 1865 at 1:40 pm seven men reached for the first time the summit of the Matterhorn (4’478m).

 

The municipality of Zermatt (SUI) will pay tribute to them on 14.07.15 celebrating the 150th anniversary of the first ascension. A whole lot of festivities will be organized on the occasion of this jubilee.

 

A countdown clock under the colours of TISSOT was unveiled on 14.07.14 on the dot of 1:40 pm at the Bahnhofplatz of Zermatt in order to mark this event.

 

The countdown will stop on 14.07.15 at the same time. This pyramid measures 4,5 meters by 3,81 meters high.
