Support and Fundraising with the Excelsior Trust

After twenty five years of service as a training ship Excelsior needs refurbishment and a two phased programme of works is underway to enable her to continue sailing in the future. Refurbishment of a ship such as this is an on going process and will be for the rest of her sea going life.

To offset some of this cost and to enable the Excelsior Trust to sustain its crew for the foreseeable future we are going out to appeal in the hope that charitable trusts and foundations will continue to help us to fulfil our mandate in transforming young people’s lives at sea. Our aim is to challenge and develop young people, particularly the least advantaged, by providing life changing experiences and skills that create self-belief and motivation to re-define their self-image, attitude and horizons in order to inspire and maximise their long term potential.
