Excelsior - our 77' Lowestoft fishing smack

Excelsior

Based at Lake Lothing on Oulton Broad, The Excelsior Trust offers educational and youth sailing charters as part of a wider life skills programme. Throughout its 25 year history thousands of young people have sailed aboard Excelsior and, through the challenging environment that sailing this traditionally built boat provides, have developed a better awareness of themselves and the world around them.

Excelsior is also available for charters and day sails for families, social groups and individuals who want to experience sailing aboard one of the 60 most important historic ships in Britain. Lovingly restored to her original 1921 condition, Excelsior is a regular participant in maritime events and races around the UK and Europe and berths are available to anyone who wishes to be part of her adventures! See our Voyages and Events page for more details.

We are also proud to announce that we are now an Approved Activity Provider for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award! Click the link below for more information.
