BPA responds to Tokyo 2020 sports announcement

on 08-10-2014 10:54

The British Paralympic Association (BPA) has responded to International Paralympic Comittee (IPC) Governing Board approval of the first 16 sports to be included in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

"We welcome the thorough process that the IPC is going through and it is good for our planning that by early next year the sports for 2020 will be known.

"Clearly this will be good news for the sports that have been confirmed today, and we congratulate para-badminton on joining the Paralympic family.

"Obviously there are still some key decisions to be made about the final programme and we will of course pay close attention to this and the make up of the full programme for Tokyo 2020."
