I have no interest in using it to mask my IP or location or any such, but does anyone know of a public proxy server that requires authentication (perhaps something like guest/guest) that can be used for testing an application's ability to traverse proxy servers?
feature request: something between the default behaviour and "Mute this post"
I would like the ability to muffle the post, where it still appears in my feed (unlike if it's muted) so I can refer back to it if desired, but I no longer get notified about replies.
If I'm somehow doing it wrong, please let me know.
My Nexus One homescreens (and lock screen). What does yours look like?
Launcher Pro, Minimal Text and Nexus One Flashlight widgets, Evervolv TexasIce Cream Sandwich ROM.
hey +Gmail and +Google+ , why is there different chat behaviour between your two products? I want coloured names and more interesting emoticons (eg: nyan cat) in my gmail-based chat sessions too

Some time ago I saw an announcement from Google that the black bar's days were numbered, it was going to be superceded by a new system that used the Google logo at top left for choosing the service you require.
Since then I have seen changes to the top portion of my google windows but not to match what they initially showed, it seems to be some kind of middleground.
Also, since I use both a Google account and an apps account I see different behaviour on each (despite choosing all the right options to get the new toys on my apps accounts).
What do your windows look like? do you have something different to these?

Dammit Google+
Why do you insist I have one notification, then when I click the button there's nothing new?
Ralph Uy
I get the opposite. I don't get notified on new things from time to time.
I feel pretty justified in being very proud of this :)
Lync mobile client running successfully on iOS 5 (iPhone4), Windows Phone 7.5 (HTC HD7) and Android 2.3 (Nexus One), with push notifications working to iOS and WP7 devices.
Getting the services to play nice and all the certificate ducks in a row was somewhat of a headache and probably represents about 8 hours work.
Hopefully it would take considerably less time if I ever have to do this again.

push notifications done using http sessions with ridiculous timeouts?
anyone know any good courses in microsoft's certificate infrastructure? I really need to learn more about it so I don't have any more horrible stressful late nights like tonight

It is a lot more worthwhile learning how PKI in general works, then learning the microsoft piece. The microsoft piece used to be covered in the 2000 MCSE Network Infrastructure exam and it covered in the 2003 -> 2008 upgrade exams, I don't believe there is a specific course/exam on certificates.

Practice and Reading > any course.
I sat and passed the Microsoft Windows 7 qualification (70-680) today... half the exam seemed out of touch with my view of reality, so please let me know which of these is true for you:
Assuming you have Windows 7 installed on something...
Did the machine come with your current install?
Has your machine had a clean install? (including upgrades where you reformatted)
Is it an in-place upgrade from an earlier version? (without a reformat)

nope it's ment for people doing it the MS way
:)
as a windows phone 7 user, I generally like the way it works and many of the apps are great, but there are certain omissions and third-party behaviours that are becoming ever more a problem.
RSA: this is the most annoying omission for work. There's no soft-token for WP7. What's the holdup? Vasco has theirs out.
Google products: at least outside of the USA and UK Bing maps is useless, I am at a point...
