Neil and Di

Founded the company in 2003 and have been living out here ever since building the company up from 5 yachts to the growing fleet of 28. They never sit still, and are always on the go. From Greece to the Caribbean via the boat shows! This year they took a well deserved holiday.

Katie

Company Shareholder. RYA Yachtmaster Instructor, RYA Powerboat Instructor. Katie is the Principal of the Sail Ionian Sea School. She teaches the full range of RYA Courses in Greece. With 10 years teaching experience in the Ionian, Katie loves sailing and teaching. She is also running Ladies Only RYA courses this year and teaching/skippering on our Caribbean yachts from December to April.

Chris

Company Shareholder. Chris runs the engineering department and ensures that all of the yacht are maintained to the highest standard. He spends most his time either on land, in the office or speeding around on "Ernie" offering 24 hour assistance in the Ionian. Chris is also a qualified Yachtmaster with 7 years teaching and sailing experience in the Ionian.

Linda

Linda organises the Sail Ionian accounts and works full time in our office in Greece. Linda is also an RYA Yachtmaster and has 7 years teaching experience in the area. When not working, Linda loves to travel and has visited some exotic and unusal destinations.

Lesley

Lesley works in the Sail Ionian office, doing anything that is required of her - RYA admin, taking bookings, updating the website etc,etc. She has lived in the area for 6 years having sailed here from the UK. She worked at her first boat show this January.

John

The newest member of the team. John is the RYA Sea School Chief Instructor and will be busy instructing sail and power courses, as well making sure the sea school runs smoothly. He has been sailing for 12 years, worked in the sailing industry for 5 (3 of which have been in the Ionian) and recently became a Yactmaster Instructor.

Mikey

Mikey starts his fourth season as part of our engineering team. He works alongside Chris, Matt and Tom R to make sure your trip runs as smoothly as possible. Mikey has been working in the Marine industry in the Ionian for the past 14 years. At home he is kept busy by his two young sons.

Tom

Tom is an RYA/MCA Yachtmaster and in his fifth year with Sail Ionian. He will be helping to keep things organised back at base as well as doing skippered charters. Tom has spent his winter skiing in Canada.

Steve

Steve has been sailing and instructing for 9 years in the Ionian, both working freelance for charter companies, including Sail Ionian, and on his own yacht. He has clocked over 25,000 sea miles over the years and this season he is joining us full time. Steve recently became a Yachtmaster Instructor.

Charlie

Charlie is an RYA/MCA Yachtmaster and Cruising Instructor and joins us for his third season. He is teaching our RYA courses and doing skippered charters this season. Charlie is also delivering our new yachts. He is particulary good at teaching families and couples, many of whom have wanted to adopt him!

Craig

Criag is an RYA/MCA Yachtmaster and Cruising Instructor and it is his second season with Sail Ionian. He did his training at the Hamble School of Training and has previously been in the army and worked as a ski instructor. Craig experienced a Greek winter this year as he stayed on the help with the winter maintainence programme. Craig is great at getting strangers on joint RYA courses working together.

Matt

Matt joined us as an engineer at the end of last season. He previously worked for Sunseekers, where he did his marine engineering apprenticeship. He has also worked on a 92ft Superyacht but has now been converted to sailing boats, having done his Day Skipper Practical last year.

Tom R

Tom has many years experience as a diesel engine engineer, starting when he was a young man working on fishing boats out of the North West of England.

Sofia and Loulie

Sofia and Loulie organise the domestic and interiors of all our yachts to make sure they are fully equipped and spotlessly clean for your arrival.
