SUP club events in Brighton

We arrange a series of fun Standup Paddleboarding events including SUPathlon , Super SUP Sunday and SUP racing. Most events are free to club members.

We strongly advise booking in advance as place are limited.

SUPathlon

If you want an exciting and unique challenge, this is the event for you!

The SUPathlon will comprise of:
2.5km Run
5km SUP 
1.5km Run

The route will be weather dependent, with the running taking place along Hove promenade and the SUPing on the sea. 
We recommend being an experienced paddler to take part.

Super SUP Sunday

Super SUP Sunday is friendly fun SUP event at Hove Lagoon, now in its third year. This year it will feature Sage 8 of  UK SUP Clubs Series.

As with previous years  Super SUP Sunday will feature a series of fun sprint races on the Lagoon, equipment to try , coaching clinic, BBQ and more. Besides the UK SUP Club raced the event the event is free.

Technical beach race:
Total distance 6.8km (see attached map)
Total buoy turns 12

Beach start with short run (10meters)
Staggered starts for classes
Finish with short run up beach

There is a total prize fund of £800. This is spilt across mens and ladies 12’6 and 14’ Classes.

Hove lagoon is right on the seafront at the western end of the Brighton and Hove promenade. We are approximately 3 miles directly west of the Pier along the promenade.

Board drop off and event site logistic information:
Toilets are available in the club house and also available are public toilets in close proximity - located next to the skate park.

Registration tent will be situated next to the Lagoon Clubhouse.

There is a cafe on site which provides hot drinks and meals/snacks.

BBQ will be available on the day for an additional fee.
