The Adventure sailing trip of a lifetime 5000 Miles almost two months sailing.

This trip will suit those looking for an adventure holiday, spending nearly two months exploring different locations, in many countries, stops will be made in quite bays and popular sailing harbours.

There are no restrictions on skill levels although we encourage some previous sailing experience. The crew is likely to contain a mixture of ages, sexes, and abilities..

A unique sailing experience as you cruise the length of the Mediterranean and then cross the Atlantic to the Caribbean, the trip is planned for like minded people who are looking for a true sailing adventure.

The trip will be lead by an experienced skipper who will guide the yacht, but the actual route plan and time scales will be made on a day to day basis, allowing for great flexibility.

The skipper and crew will be responsible for all aspects of running the yacht, from victualing to route planning to sailing.

Greece to Grenada (October):

The yacht will leave Levkas in Greece around 10 October and arrive in Grenada no later than 9 December. The route will take you round the foot of Italy up the Messina straights passing between Scilly and the main land, then head across to Sardinia, before making for Spain. A fuel stop in Gibraltar is normal and then head South, as the temperature starts to rise visit Porto Santo or Madeira, and then down to the Canaries, where there is a choice of islands, to load final stores before crossing the Atlantic. The Cap Verde may come next if this will help catch the trade winds to push you across the Atlantic. On reaching Caribbean waters a well earned rum punch will be taken, and then there is time to explore some of the Caribbean islands before reaching your final destination in Grenada.

Grenada to Greece (May):

The yacht will leave Grenada around 20 April and arrive in Greece no later than 20 June. The trip starts with a cruise up the Caribbean island chain, possibly stopping to view some of the activities of Antigua sailing week before heading on to the Azores, where you can add your name to history painting on the harbour wall. Gibraltar is next before heading on to, Sardinia and to Levkas in Greece.

Some parts of the trip will be challenging, but the emphasis is on having fun! Many of the destinations on route are weather/crew dependent but there will be no shortage of time at sea!!

The yachts are specially coded to Ocean category A3 and so are very well equipped, with an abundance of safety equipment.

All trips include, plenty of night sailing, experience of longer passage planning, yacht handling practice and much more - often with challenging sailing conditions. Any experience level welcome providing you are keen and looking forward to the challenge!

You will be expected to take part in all aspects of running the yacht with opportunities to learn, ask questions, while building confidence and knowledge.
