One of UK Anti-Doping's responsibilities is the management of anti-doping rule violations committed by athletes or athlete support personnel.
In the World Anti-Doping Code there are eight Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRV). They consist of the following:
As the National Anti-Doping Organisation, UK Anti-Doping is responsible for charging athletes or athlete support personnel who have committed an ADRV, which the athlete or support personnel can either accept or challenge through an established legal process. This process is outlined in the results management section of this website.
Once a case has been through the full disciplinary process, details are published here. The publishing of decisions follows the relevant NGB’s Anti-Doping Rules and will include details of the sport, individual, substance (if relevant) and consequences imposed.
.
UK Anti-Doping also publishes quarterly updates of results from its testing programme. These can be found in the Facts and figures section and include a sport-by-sport breakdown of the number of tests conducted.
