Topic on Reddit
News about any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms, or derivatives thereof, to make or modify products or processes for specific use. | Or we can talk about career advice. Whatever.
Inspired by the other thread about sharing more drug development content on this forum vs layoff posts, I realized one good way to do find similar content is podcasts.
So what drug development/biotech/pharma/science podcasts do you all listen to, and why do you like them?
I will start by recommending "Business of Biotech". The format is they interview a different C-suite person from a biotech each week and talk about their experience, career, current company/program, philosophy on drug development, etc. So different topics come up, for example, how a company was previously developing a certain asset and then decided to shelve it and pivot to a different asset-- what the thought process was and how they decided to go after a different target in the space.
Not every episode is a homerun, but I've listened to a lot of good ones on it. What other ones do you all listen to?

Can we please normalize non meta builds in this community. This game isn't competitive and people need to make builds that are both fun to play and play against. This is what happened to tcms gameplay is streamers and tiktokers showed the best strat and best builds for every map and people just kept doing that. Videos and streams like that make these games unfun

The argumentation „for content“ is just another way to say that they overall dont care and do everything that brings them money/attention.
I wanna appreciate lvndmark and glorious as the two top tarkov streamers for going live for hrs and calling this bs out. Nice to see some selfrespect unlike the others.
The unofficial reddit community of the Murder Bryan Show / Guys, hosted by Bryan Quimby.
Guys and the Murder x Bryan Patreon feed are probably my main things right now and I really love this type of humor and general ~vibe~. Plus the community is good so I was wondering what you Podcast Guys listen to?
My top pods these days are:
The Important Cinema Club - my favorite movie podcast. Introduced me to so much great stuff. They cover super well known, totally obscure, high brow, low brow, and everything in between with the same enthusiasm. You’ll never hear them say anything like “well, it’s just a horror movie (or insert less reputable genre here) so it’s not that important”
Michael & Us - another movie podcast but they try to figure out a sociopolitical reading of whatever they’re watching. Always interesting, especially when they try to read ANTZ through a leftist lens lmao. Cool because they take the assignment seriously while also recognizing how ridiculous it can get.
TrueAnon - politics/history oriented show that mainly covers strange happenings and conspiracies. Super interesting topics and great guests. Often come away wanting to dig deeper yourself. The hosts have fantastic chemistry and are very funny.
Welcome to r/coralisland, the official subreddit of the upcoming tropical farming sim game developed by Stairway Games. Grow crops, nurture animals, befriend the islanders, and help revitalize the beautiful coral reef surrounding your town.
I’m not sure if they’ve never been near the sea, but there are SO many of them who complain that the islanders are dumping crap in the sea when they’re cleaning it up….has no one ever lived near the ocean? Or understand how it works? You can do a beach clean every day and trash will continue to get washed in. The ocean spans 2/3 of our planet, trash travels.
I am convinced the people making these comments are the type who’ve only been on “white sand” holidays….and just as a reminder, those white sand beaches have (usually local, chronically underpaid) people out before the crack of dawn raking up all the plastic and trash that’s been washed up so all thats left is the picture-perfect golden sands.
I might sound like a crazy ocean lady, but I’m pretty sure the devs have had experience with this and that’s why they wrote it into the game that the trash KEEPS ON REAPPEARING from the ocean, and that the efforts to fix the island are reoccurring festivals because it just keeps coming back.
On a side note, if you can participate in any sort of ocean/beach clean-up in real life, do. It will open your eyes to how accurate this game actually is 🌊✌🏼

I've tried my best to keep up with all the drama from yesterday and I have a question for y'all.
Are small streamers just coping right now?
I saw Landmark shit on the game and refuse to play for his whole stream. NoiceGuy said he's moving on from Tarkov exclusively. AirWing and a bunch of other people uninstalled. Hell Klean played 'that single player version of the game' ON STREAM.
Glorious is doing a poll atm on what other game to move on to.
And then there are small streams, Desmond for example saying how its fine and that's just what BSG does.
What's your opinion about streamers coping right now?
EDIT: Apparently Asmongold is in on this as well lol. He had a call with Landmark about it.

I found a couple on Spotify and they’re very cringe, IMO. Does anyone have a podcast rec for homebirth or homebirth stories? Ideally not explicitly Christian.
Thank you!

An active fan community since 2013 for The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game. Endless new adventures in one of the best game representations of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-Earth!
Just thought I'd get on and say this. We're pretty blessed to have the community we do with this game, especially after it's been out for so long and, in a way, is also officially over (but not really, of course -- it's seemingly more alive than ever). I just joined the Cardboard of the Rings discord server yesterday and it seems like an awesome place to hang out, just like this sub-reddit. But I'm also a big podcaster (used to have a fairly long work commute and now I have lots of time to listen while taking care of two little ones. So, just thought I'd do a shout-out, in case any of you are like-minded individuals and didn't know about some of these . . .
Obviously, you've got Cardboard of the Rings and Card Talk, two giants in the community that have been around for quite a while, and run both ends of the spectrum in terms of run-time. If you want a long beefy podcast, check out COTR, and if you'd like a quick, short, insightful 15-20 min. listen, check out Card Talk and remind yourself of all the incredible cards this game has to offer (as well as the most recent card, which, you know . . .)
The Grey Company podcast, now defunct, is still a great listen, with a round of hosts that are a real who's who for the community. I also discovered another defunct podcast this morning that I'm excited to check out called Three is Company. A few months ago I found The Card Game Cooperative podcast, which also covers Arkham and Marvel LCGs, and has been a great listen.
Finally, a shout-out to Late of the Rings, who just posted their first episode in almost half a year less than an hour ago. One thing that has helped keep me so invested in and excited about this game is the community. As an introvert who plays mostly solo games (and single-player video games, and reads), it's easy to feel completely isolated with my passions. All of these podcasts have been constant companions as I progressively make my way through the quests of this game, and if you're a new Revised Content player, Late of the Rings would be a great podcast for you to check out, as they started up around the time the Revised content was being released and are playing through and discussing the quests and cards in order.
All of these podcasts have great hosts and great communities, and aside from the occasional attempted scammer on this sub-reddit, this whole community is seemingly almost wholly devoid of toxicity of any kind. Feeling grateful for all of it today.

I’m looking for good uplifting positive podcasts to start my day with- but a lot of what I find is corny and hard to take seriously… I know that sounds pretentious I just want a genuinely enjoyable and fun podcast that I don’t slightly cringe at. Educational stuff is great but specifically looking for something that will make me feel happy at the same time.

Their excuse, among other streamers, was they bought it so we don't have to, or they'll write it off as a business expense, they bought it to critique it, it's their livelihood, etc, while also telling others not to buy it. But they don't understand their positions as some of the main faces of Tarkov. In weeks from now when the hate slowly starts to die down (it will), they'll continue on as the faces of Tarkov unintentionally advertising the new content for BSG. Just like BSG wants.
Respect to streamers like Landmark who understand their position and said no to it completely.

I’ve been listening to the American Scandal seasons on the Bay of Pigs invasion and the Cuban Missile Crisis and I’m really getting sucked into it. Being normally much more of an ancient history and archaeology guy, I’d really like more podcasts on more modern history while this obsession is still strong, so I can fill the gaps in my knowledge.
Thank you!
