Imagine sitting in isolation for 7? 12? days, and then just yeeting your ankle in the first leg back.

[–]planeray 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Shame they couldn't just continue with one member!

[–]glider521al 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's unfortunate that a sprained ankle can take 2 weeks to heal :(

[–]Apple_Slipper[S] 4 points5 points  (4 children)

That was heartbreaking, even more than Kathy & Chace's elimination.

[–]glider521al 11 points12 points  (3 children)

Both teams were plain unlucky. While Kathy & Chace's elimination was unfair at least they got to see the end of the leg.

Fliss and Tottie were also one of my favourite teams due to their practical skills and having a country background.

[–]ValuePsychological74 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I don’t think Kathy and Chace’s elimination was unfair. They missed the signature in the selfie challenge and then got 2kg instead of 1kg in the herb challenge, which put them back. So not a perfect leg nor was entirely luck based. Of course it’s hard to see anyone go, especially in this crazy covid season.

[–]glider521al 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well unfair, because they successfully jumped from starting last to second place, only to have their lead destroyed by an equalizer hour of operations board right before the final task (forced to wait about 30 minutes for other teams to arrive before they could even read the speedbump).

They did specify 1 Kg to the vendors in Spanish, but the scales didn't match the judges.

I agree, Covid is the most frustrating factor this season.

[–]CreswickOctober 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were so scrappy, we really hadn't seen them shine yet but it felt like they were real underdog contenders

Their moment with the tarantulas was hilarious too, they will be missed

[–]Clear-Bid9747 34 points35 points  (7 children)

Jamus needs to smell the roses. Chelsea doesn't respect him. Cut your losses and move on with your life and kids

[–]mrfalconcat 7 points8 points  (4 children)

It is seriously hard to watch hey. I’m hoping it is mostly the edit haha.

[–]Hawk301 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah I dunno about that. Even if they are playing it up for the edit, it feels like she gets mad at him on every single task without fail, often for things that are totally not even his fault.

Even if the edit is amplifying it, the sheer amount of abuse he cops at every single step of the way is just really toxic

[–]pantaloonjohnny 4 points5 points  (2 children)

It feels like I'm one of the only few people who thinks it is, in addition to acting. Makes me feel like an asshole or just really stupid sadly. But to be honest this ep was harder to watch regarding them compared to the other eps

[–]ValuePsychological74 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Don’t think it’s acting at all. But don’t think it’s their everyday either. It’s stress induced, and probably something they can work on.

[–]pantaloonjohnny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're most right, that makes a lot of sense! I really hope they do work on it.

[–]bellaboo030505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I don't think I have seen once episode where she hasn't yelled at him. Then she says "I'm going to be good today and not yell" then bam she yelling at him or blaming him.

[–]mrfalconcat 22 points23 points  (1 child)

The temple is an amazing pit stop, seriously stunning

[–]Apple_Slipper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree!

[–]Hawk301 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yay Heath & Toni! They're smashing it

[–]KingoftheHill63 16 points17 points  (9 children)

Did Chelsea just say he doesn't do shit? Was that a joke or something? 🤣

[–]Apple_Slipper[S] 16 points17 points  (5 children)

Don't know. Chelsea at times berates Jamus for something she did.

[–]DonnyGoodwood 10 points11 points  (1 child)

“You didn’t let me read the clue properly!!”

[–]sootysweepnsoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They are constantly never reading their instructions correctly. If she hasn’t got that eye to attention in a race, I bet she’s terrible at her job and one of those awful property managers you’re always having to chase up.

    [–]bdiddlediddles 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Jamus is actually quite upbeat and happy, he's not the issue.

    [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

    I'm actually fine with Jamus.

    [–]Clear-Bid9747 9 points10 points  (2 children)

She doesn't respect him. She is keeping him around for the money and making him feel guilty so he doesn't leave her. Read the signs....Jamus needs to cut his losses.

    [–]imnohelp2u 6 points7 points  (1 child)

The fact that they have kids together is even more terrifying of a thought. She acts like he's so dumb and useless all the time. I think she mentioned she's also his boss at work.

    [–]sootysweepnsoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find it interesting that their team IG is private (perhaps due to comments about her?) but their individual accounts are public. And she’s seriously trying to leverage her time on the show for her new property account. I couldn’t take her seriously in a professional capacity after seeing her conduct on the show.

    [–]pantaloonjohnny 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Amazing Pit Stop location. Very wholesome but bittersweet (for the teams) ending. Loved it.

    [–]Hawk301 27 points28 points  (7 children)

Jezus, poor Jamus looked like he was about to pass out from carrying both his and Chelsea's bags up the hill... only for Chelsea to berate him for not getting there quicker. Honestly, Jamus deserves better

Contrast that to the Dragon Boat Mums being absolutely lovely - they were absolutely prepared to fall on their swords for Tiffany and Cynthia there, because they helped them earlier. Lovely sportsmanship and lovely people.

    [–]jedrevolutia 9 points10 points  (4 children)

I can't believe Chelsea just stand there and do nothing when Jamus was about to fall. Beau showed more concern than Chelsea did. I mean, what??? She could have at cried for people to help Jamus. If next episode Jamus is eaten by a shark, I don't think Chelsea will care.

    [–]cdfe88 7 points8 points  (1 child)

If next episode Jamus is eaten by a shark, I don't think Chelsea will care.

Of course she's gonna care, she's gonna get mad at Jamus for getting eaten and wasting time

    [–]DazedNConfucious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can definitely see that happening followed by her throwing her hands in the air saying “That’s it. We’re going home now. Might as well pack it up. We’re going home.”

    [–]sootysweepnsoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She did do something. She screamed at him.

    [–]VelvetLeopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this was shocking. Beau was seriously concerned and trying to steady Jamus and get him to sit, while Chelsea did nothing to help Beau achieve that. She could at least have bossily told Jamus to sit down, but instead she shouted at him.

    [–][deleted]  (1 child)

    [deleted]

      [–]Hawk301 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean even if they did, I feel like they'd have just refused to continue the race and insisted Tiffany and Cynthia have their spot

      [–]reticulatedtampon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yellsea and Blameus are at it again

      [–]pantaloonjohnny 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Omg what that was way too quick this is so sad they just got back. What a way to go out. Poor Fliss and Tottie :(

      [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

      Indeed. That was heartbreaking.

      [–]jedrevolutia 2 points3 points  (1 child)

And this is the only leg they get a little bit more screen time...

      [–]glider521al 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even then, it's still not enough.

      [–]KellyandGeorgia 25 points26 points  (8 children)

I actually solved the puzzle in the car on the way to the detour. When we got there though the pieces with red markings weren’t allowed to be moved so my solution was useless, was so annoying!

      [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Ah, very interesting! Thanks for the additional info, Kelly & Georgia!

      [–]glider521al 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mayan themed Sudoku was a nice puzzle challenge.
Well done on solving it so quickly!

      [–]TheZanyCat 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Was there any resentment from the "original" teams when you returned to the race? Or did they just accept that shit happens, and move on?

      [–]KellyandGeorgia 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Definitely not resentment. I think they all agreed that they would’ve wanted a second chance if they had covid, so they were definitely understanding. In saying that though they were definitely disappointed because they worked so hard to get down to 4 teams, only for us to come back in and bring it back to 8 teams. We thought it was unfair as well, was just a crap situation for all of us.

      [–]pantaloonjohnny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would have been so frustrating, but interesting to know! Love the extra commentary. Glad to have you back!

      [–]mrfalconcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You still looked like you ripped through the puzzle!

      [–]magikarpcatcher -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

Then you didn't solve the puzzle, lol

      [–]KellyandGeorgia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sorry, should have rephrased it to say that I guessed what the puzzle template would be and thought I had a solution.

      [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Quite saddening to see Fliss & Tottie being eliminated due to a sprained ankle.

      [–]jedrevolutia 6 points7 points  (2 children)

They should let them rest and skip a few legs and then resume again like when they got covid. It's not like they break anything that requires surgery.

This makes the whole covid rest rules look silly.

      [–]cdfe88 2 points3 points  (1 child)

a sprained ankle requires immobilizing and physical therapy, it's something that takes weeks to recover from

      [–]jedrevolutia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's okay. They can rejoin for the finale.

      [–]handinhandkameraden 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Belize looks incredible, how has TARUS not been there before?

      [–]supacoowacky 4 points5 points  (1 child)

TAR 8 was supposed to go there but the visit was canceled due to a hurricane. I'm also surprised they haven't tried again in the past sixteen years. Central America in general minus Panama tends to get ignored.

      [–]producermaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like they rarely go to South America too but I am surprised too Belize hasn’t been visited. It’s a relatively safe country right so I don’t get why they haven’t gone

      [–]CreswickOctober 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so glad we get to see it in high definition

      [–]jedrevolutia 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The school challenge looks boring to watch as it is just gardening and washing. To make it even worse, there is zero school kids seen.

      [–]canadiannewbie 8 points9 points  (2 children)

So is no one gonna say something about Frankie calling Angel "Hun"????? These two, just date already 🤦‍♀️😆

      [–]sootysweepnsoo 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Their relationship/friendship is one sided. She knows he l-o-v-e-s her and he’s going to be hurrrrrt when she introduces him to her new boyfriend one of these days

      [–]callmetuesday 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s so hard to watch. She has friendzoned him so hard and he’s stuck just carrying her bags everywhere

The heat was insane. One of my contact lenses fell out as well so I was half blind. Couldn’t put another one in because my hands were covered in dirt.

        [–]pantaloonjohnny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looked so difficult, you looked more tired than most of the teams! But being half blind would do that to you too lol

        [–]planeray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing everyone is still recovering from Covid, so probably feeling pretty wretched. Even some of the non affected teams were sweating it out though, so you really can't blame them for being a bit under the weather.

          Beau: "Do you like Bali?"
          Greeter: "No"

          [–]MichaelAndrews73a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, Beau instructing Chelsea and Jamus to take a seat totally did not look like he was trying to take them hostage or anything. LOL. Stunning locations this leg!

          [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here's the summary to TAR Australia S06E14!

          • Lauren & Steph are still in isolation. Four teams return to the race and will have to do a Speed Bump for this leg. Beau provides teams their next clue.
          • Route Info: Teams drive in their 2018 Nissan Kicks to Santa Cruz in the Toledo District, Belize and find the Santa Cruz School to find their next clue.
          • Route Info: Greenhouse Repair
Team will have to plant vegetables in the school garden and replant the children's greenhouse. Each team has their own individual section of the garden. Once teams finish their section of the garden, the school principal will give teams their next clue.
          • Chelsea and Fliss get frightened by a tarantula.
          • Pako: "Horticulture queen!"
          • Detour: Score or Solve?
Score: Teams drive to the Cahal Pech ruins to play a game of Pok-a-tok, where the ball needs to go through the hoop by using any part of the body except for the hands. If teams miss the hoop, they will go to the back of the line and retry. Once teams get their ball through the hoop within 6 attempts, they will receive their next clue.
Solve: Teams drive to the Cahal Pech ruins and must complete a puzzle of 36 movable pieces with Mayan symbols. The red labelled pieces are there to help teams get started and the numbers cannot be used twice. Once teams finish the puzzle correctly, they will receive their next clue.
          • Beau: "PE was alright... actually, PE was hard too.
          • Cynthia was suffering badly from the heat.
          • 'Incy Wincy Spider' jingle after the commercial break.
          • Speed Bump: Returning Teams
The returning teams must clean 10 chair desks from the classroom before they can continue on racing.
          • Kelly: "This is old-school school punishment."
          • Angel: "The first thing we said was, 'No hands?'."
          • Fliss accidentally tripped over and sprained her ankle, unable to continue. Unfortunately, Fliss & Tottie are now eliminated.
          • Kelly did 50 sudokus while in isolation.
          • Route Info: Canoeing Calendar
Teams drive to the riverbank near the Hawkesworth Bridge. Teams need to memorise the Mayan calendar and then canoe up the Macal River to grab the month pieces. Teams must then canoe back and implement the month pieces onto the Mayan calendar. Once the month pieces are placed on the calendar correctly, teams will receive their next clue.
          • The Hawkesworth Bridge guide told Jodie & Claire that the bridge was closed to pedestrians and must take the nearby bridge to get to the Detour.
          • Heath: "You [the ring holder] could've held it higher!"
          • Angel & Frankie capsized their canoe.
          • Claire: "This is my 10 year-old bucket list!"
          • Pako & Mori's canoe capsized.
          • Pako: "So everything is drenched and there goes our drawings..."
          • Pitstop: Teams make their way to the Xunantunich Pyramid Mayan Ruins. The last team to check in may be eliminated.
          • Pako & Mori struggle to pronounce "Xunantunich".
          • Jodie & Claire canoeing reminds them of rowing dragon boats.
          • Only 4 cars are allowed on the bridge.
          • Georgia: "Ah, boots. We're not in Australia!"
          • Heath & Toni won 1st Place and won a 3-night stay at a 5-star Bali Bible getaway.
          • Beau: "You know Bali?"
            Pitstop Greeter: "No."
            Toni: "Shutdown."
          • Pako & Mori (2nd Place).
          • Frankie carrying Angel bridal style to the Pitstop.
          • Angel & Frankie (3rd Place).
          • Chelsea & Jamus cut off Kelly & Georgia on getting on the bridge.
          • Chelsea & Jamus (4th Place).
          • Kelly & Georgia (5th Place).
          • Jamus was about to fall off the edge from exhaustion.
          • Beau (to the teams): "Watch the hills. Watch the Mayans. Watch the rattlesnakes!"
          • One team lands their feet 1 millisecond faster.
          • Tiffany & Cynthia (6th Place).
          • Jodie & Claire arrived in Last Place, but this leg has changed to a Non-elimination leg due to Fliss spraining her ankle.
          • Next Episode: Teams travel to Caye Caulker, Belize to snorkelling with sharks.

          [–]jedrevolutia 9 points10 points  (2 children)

          TAR Australia rules:

          • get covid, no problem, can skip a few legs then come back.

          • get sick with anything else besides covid, eliminated.

          • bumped from flight for no reason, eliminated.

          • get sprained ankle, eliminated.

          [–]its_real_I_swear 0 points1 point  (1 child)

When they stop overtesting for covid I'm sure it will be treated like any other disease

          [–]deanoau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was shot very early 2022

          [–]SagginBartender 4 points5 points  (4 children)

This season is a mess lol. Between covid and the medevacs. TAR has had 1 medevac in 33 seasons and TARAus now has had three?

This is just such a wonky season and really makes it harc to feel good about anything that is happening results wise.

          [–]CreswickOctober 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Putting results aside I think this season has some really strong strengths, the teams and the locations have all been top tier. There have also been some interesting tasks. Honestly despite the setbacks I rank this season as one of the best

          [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I think the locations chosen for the race are really great, and these locations could be great inspiration for TAR USA to take notes on or consider for future seasons.

          [–]ValuePsychological74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree! Have really loved the route and challenges.

          [–]muxbossgirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

          how i feel.

Angel & Frankie continue slowly bleeding rating points, but they remain on top of the world. But if they continue racing like this, they might drop out of that coveted spot.

          [–]JayWolf06 23 points24 points  (23 children)

I dunno why but god damn it bothers me so much Angel never carries her bag

            [–]JayWolf06 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. And the fact she's always telling Frankie to " cmon lets go " and he's double loading lol

            [–]Remarkable-Lecture86 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Wow was surprised she had her bag on at the pit stop in this episode. But Frankie was carrying Angel anyway so... don't think it counts

            [–]JayWolf06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hahah my partner said the same thing

            [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Not to mention Frankie carrying Angel bridal style to the Pitstop.

            [–]ValuePsychological74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What was that about? I couldn’t work out why he did that! Funny when Beau reminded them they can’t get checked in until all feet on the mat!

            [–]sootysweepnsoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The rules should not only include that teams make it to the mat with their backpack but also be carrying their own backpack. I think Angel knows that Frankie has a huge amount of affection for her and she uses that to her advantage. I’m sure he’s hoping for that promotion from bestie which will never happen.

            [–]muxbossgirl 5 points6 points  (13 children)

yasss! flick n gabi would have been in if she were carrying her own bag! don't like her at all (other reasons aswell). love Frankie tho.

            [–]JayWolf06 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah so sad flick and gabs lost out cos of it.

100% agree Frankie seems like such a good dude

            [–]sootysweepnsoo 5 points6 points  (11 children)

The dynamics of their relationship come across to me that he really likes her, and she knows it so treats him accordingly.

            [–]muxbossgirl 2 points3 points  (10 children)

i am the idiot who, in the latest episode, just went like, "wait? they aren't a couple?".... ummm....

            [–]sootysweepnsoo 4 points5 points  (9 children)

He’s just her bestie-in-waiting to her until she finds a boyfriend, and the poor guy thinks it’ll be him one of these days.

            [–]muxbossgirl 2 points3 points  (8 children)

oh no... i love frankie... he's probably the most sweetest person i have seen on TV actually (a breath of fresh air in this day and age)...now i feel bad for jamus and him... :/

            [–]sootysweepnsoo 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I noticed on TARAUS FB page, on the photo they uploaded of Chelsea and Jamus two days ago it says over 300 comments but most are gone. I bet they cleaned up many comments about Chelsea treating him like shit.

            [–]muxbossgirl 3 points4 points  (2 children)

oh really? i do feel they hype it up too much for the show though. anyways, last night georgia n kellie (?) were commenting on reddit (rather controversial and extremely illogical comments defending themselves) and they ended up deleting it all haha! can you believe that? i thought there had to be contracts in place that prevent you from blurting out anything until the finale atleast? no? i am starting to guess they might be top 3 or winners, for them to act so weird...

            [–]sootysweepnsoo 2 points3 points  (1 child)

They are very defensive. I was hoping they’d be out already. They are a snooze fest.

            [–]muxbossgirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

            I'll celebrate for sure. lol.

            [–]sootysweepnsoo 1 point2 points  (3 children)

And yes, Frankie is lovely and I can’t recall seeing anything of him on any episode showing otherwise. Angel comes across to me as a typical Mean Church Girl. Secretly a Mean Girl but hides it behind the facade of being all about Jesus.

            [–]muxbossgirl 2 points3 points  (2 children)

yes and he has the cutest sense of humor, just the right kinda goofy. i never liked angel for this exact reason because she does seem a lil too fake for my taste. i miss flick and gabi....:/

            [–]sootysweepnsoo 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The episode where the two sets of teams met, I didn’t like her from the outset when she made the comment to Flick and Gabby, and then she wondered later why none of the others liked her.

            [–]muxbossgirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh i remember. People like her always want people to like them no matter how rude they are to others. maybe an ego thing.

            [–]callmetuesday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes me too!! She just skips away while Frankie tags along behind her carrying 2 massive backpacks like damn girl carry your own weight

            [–]KingoftheHill63 9 points10 points  (4 children)

That was a great leg ngl

            [–]Hawk301 6 points7 points  (2 children)

I think the task and leg design has actually been pretty great all throughout (with the exception of that episode where they obviously had to cancel a bunch of tasks due to the blizzard). Good mix of tasks, a lot of them seem legit difficult, and they've done well at theming them to the culture/location at each place.

If it wasn't for Covid stuffing things up, this'd be a pretty strong season overall

            [–]MichaelAndrews73a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally think the COVID incident has made this portion of the race a bit more interesting. It's not every day that any TAR in the world has a constant change of teams participating / isolating and then later returning. Also, has there been any other time when there have been two hosts during any point of the race?

            [–]ValuePsychological74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree! Thoroughly enjoy when the challenges have teams take part in local culture. Plus the mix between skill sets has been great.

We learn so much about the teams strengths and weaknesses this way, and this year that has been really prominent. I’ll never forget being shocked to discover one of the cops skateboards!! And when we finally found Angel and Frankie’s weakness being cooking, lol.

Also love when strategy gets involved… like remembering to have pen and paper on you! Or Heath’s smart move finding a tourist to sell fruit to for the big bucks.

They don’t all have to be super physical to be interesting. Although did love the Mum’s smashing that canoeing tonight, showing up those young ones up who kept capsizing! Loved it.

            [–]Hawk301 3 points4 points  (4 children)

I missed the preview, did anyone catch if they mentioned Lauren & Steph being back for next leg?

Under normal circumstances I'd guess Dragon Boat Mums as the next boot, but if L&S come back they'll have to do their speedbump still, which means the Mums might yet live to fight another day.

Imagine if Jodie and Claire made it into Top 7? That'd be amazing, I'd love to see it

            [–]AngelSG86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They weren’t shown in the preview as coming back.

              [–]Lily-Gordon 7 points8 points  (8 children)

3 nights in Bali 😂😂 not even worth the plane ride. At least give them a week.

              [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 5 points6 points  (5 children)

Justin (TAR USA S27) mentioned on his Racers Recap podcast livestreams that the holiday trip prizes are not free and comes with extra taxes to pay. The money prizes are the ones that are worth it.

              [–]irl_Juvia 9 points10 points  (0 children)

35k Marshall’s Gift Card looking real good rn.

              [–]quarrystone 6 points7 points  (3 children)

American prizes are taxed/given out this way, but that's not the case for all other countries. Canadians aren't taxed on prize winnings, for instance.

              [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, didn't know about that! Interesting!

              Thanks for the clarification!

              [–]bmac92 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I believe this is true to Australia too, but I cannot confirm. Any Aussies want to corroborate this statement?

              [–]Yolo-Toure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, game show prizes, competition prizes and lottery winnings are completely tax free in Australia (only exception is for regular appearance fees).

Taxes on these seems to be a very US kind of thing

              [–]UmmmNotOnYourNelly 2 points3 points  (1 child)

              Who got in first?

              [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

              Heath & Toni.

              [–]glider521al 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The episode had a beautiful Mayan theme. Loved how much of it was set in ancient ruins amid the jungle! That temple was one hell of a pitstop! Nice to get the teams to help out at a local school to.

Favourite leg this season besides Chefchaouen (minus what happened with the injury)

              [–]WittyContribution 6 points7 points  (11 children)

After all that moaning Kelly & Georgia did re. Crystal & Reem 'cheating', they go sniping Tiffany & Cynthia's calendar board to copy the answers!

Fliss & Tottie's demise was spoilt in the very first episode in the very first moments of the show. I knew they were gonna get pulled and that's why they weren't receiving any airtime. Think it's a bit shitty of the producers to give them next to zero airtime when their time on the race ended as it did. They could've at least let them reminisce and look back on the experience happily through the edit, yet they didn't even get that.

I'm rooting for Tiffany & Cynthia and Jodie & Claire but their navigation skills are driving me crazy. At this point in the race, there's little chance of recovering when you're making so many navigation errors.

              [–]KellyandGeorgia 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Pretty disappointing that people still form an opinion of us based on a single edited sequence from earlier in the season. We had no say on Crystal and Reem getting a penalty, the challenge producers did.

There were no rules in the challenges in this episode against looking at other teams boards, if there were then we would’ve been penalised. At the sudoku challenge tiff and Cynthia were looking at our board so we wiped it as soon as we got it correct. They did the same thing and as soon as they completed the Mayan puzzle, they ripped all the pieces off. We were all playing the game and every team would be looking at each other’s boards.

              [–]WittyContribution 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How else are we suppose to form an opinion if not based on the edit? We can only go off what it shows us. They didn't pluck you guys complaining out of thin air - you DID complain about them 'cheating', yet funnily the footage production had didn't seem to show Crystal & Reem holding it any worse than a number of teams (Georgia included).

My comment was tongue in cheek anyway. I'm aware that copying answers is allowed on the race.

              [–]sootysweepnsoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We know the show is edited but the fact is, regardless of how it’s edited, you did speak up about Crystal and Reem. You could have just shut up and let the producers handle it. Unless you’re saying the producers edited in the audio by splicing words together to make it out like you said it. 🙄

              [–]ovenrightitchy675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You had no say in them getting a penalty, but your complaining definitely triggered and resulted in it..

Can you honestly say you've never broken a single rule during the amazing race?

              [–]ovenrightitchy675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and my partner and his parents thought the exact same thing! I felt so bad for Crystal & Reem. Totally felt like Kelly and Georgia complained just so they could get ahead. They've just irked me since this episode. And I've noticed so many little snide comments/complaints from them and just not team friendly attitude since then.

              [–]magikarpcatcher 2 points3 points  (4 children)

After all that moaning Kelly & Georgia did re. Crystal & Reem 'cheating', they go sniping Tiffany & Cynthia's calendar board to copy the answers!

i saw that too and was shocked it wasn't even shown on camera. can't stand them tbh. they both bug me esp. since the crystal n reem elimination.

I think the show should've barred them from taking notes just to make the challenge more difficult, tbh.

                    yeap. this.

They had excellent practical skills, but never got enough screen time. They had an interesting background coming from the country

                    [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Their elimination was really heartbreaking.

                    [–]frozensummit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chelsea is looking really bad. Poor guy.

                    [–]LongSummerNight[🍰] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I find it absolutely excruciating watching Chelsea toxic abuse of Jamus play out episode after episode. It's pretty triggering too. If that's how she treats him on tv imagine how she treats him behind closed doors. He deserves so so much better. She deserves to do some intensive therapy because their kids are exposed to this and will normalise it growing up. You could tell Beau was concerned for him. Also they need to stop doing charity work at orphanges in school in third world countries.

                    [–]sootysweepnsoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it was reversed and Jamus spoke and treated Chelsea as she does, everyone would be up in arms and there would probably be a Mamamia article about us witnessing spousal abuse right in front of our eyes on reality TV.

Kelly & Georgia took a peek at Tiffany & Cynthia's solved calendar board. What a bunch of cheaters! And how ironic after they tattled on Crystal and Reem and got them eliminated because it "didn't sit well with them" that they were ~cheating~. Hope the get eliminated soon, do not like them AT ALL.

                    [–]muxbossgirl 4 points5 points  (1 child)

someone who shares my sentiments haha. something about them rubbed me off the wrong way ever since the first leg.

                    [–]VelvetLeopard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be even more specific, Kelly rubbed me up the wrong way since Ep 1. I get the vibe that he’s controlling but trying to role-play ‘easy-going’.

                    [–]KellyandGeorgia 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Every team was looking at each other’s boards, you’re forming an opinion based on a 2 second snippet they showed of us looking at tiff and Cynthia’s.

                    [–]magikarpcatcher 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Pako and Mori went all the way back to the sample puzzle when they got it wrong on their first check. They didn't look at anyone else's puzzle

                    [–]KellyandGeorgia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone was going back to the sample, we went back about 4 times. I don’t know how you’re thinking you know everything based on 2 second camera shots you’re seeing.

                    [–]PocoBoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, if we are basing it on beau's explanation on the challenges, which is the only thing we can base it off, then they did not cheat because it wasn't stated that they cannot peek at others.

With Crystal and Reem's case, it was specifically stated that it has to be above shoulders. As for them tattling, they are racing for last place, desperate times. Anyone of them would have probably done the same.

But they didn't get a penalty. You tattled on them to the "judge" at the challenge who made them made them do another round. Your exact words were that "it didn't sit well with you" guys that they were carrying their sticks below their shoulders.

Then we get a shot of Georgia doing the same thing with carrying the stick below her shoulders.

I guess "rules" only matter when other teams are breaking them and not you guys.

                      [–]KellyandGeorgia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t have any issue if you don’t like us that’s completely fine, just hope you can understand that not everything you see on tv is as it happened.

Other teams were penalised as well (bread they carried didn’t count), is that our fault too? I dont see how you’re not grasping that we have no say in what producers decide, they were the ones who made crystal and Reem do another round of bread.

You are intentionally being obtuse. Nobody is saying that you are responsible for other teams who received penalties nor that you make the rules regarding penalties. You are being called out for your sanctimony in telling on another team as though you’re a pair of children.

                        [–]magikarpcatcher 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If you have an issue with how you were edited, talk to the producers. I am gonna take what we actually saw on the screen as the truth and not you guys making yourself look better.

The fact of the matter is that you guys said on camera that you tattled on them which you didn't need to if the producers were gonna take care of it anyways.

                        [–]glider521al 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with what's shown on camera it didn't look like Crystal and Reem's elimination was caused by that. Wording is usually super exact during the race; chances are a penalty would apply on the pitstop if the judge didn't tell them to head back.

Regarding glimpsing part of a solution in plain sight, it happens in every season (one team in season 5 complained another team making the same ramp in a skateboarding challenge, only to 'copy' the accused latter when it came to processing olives), and it's usually up to the contestants to conceal their answers/methods unless told otherwise.

Teams tend to look up when another team completes a challenge anyway; that doesn't mean copying.

Edit: In this case it looked like Kelly & Georgia solved it by themselves, and have consistently shown that they excel at puzzles.
