The graphic doesn't really do it justice when you think about how 3 dimensional (multilayered) the additions are compared to original Monstadt and Liyue. Not counting the non-Fontain water you can almost double the total area with the depth.

Exploring mondstadt at launch was still the best experience I've had with the game.

I can appreciate the complexity and ideas of the new terrain levels they are going for, but there was something satisfying about just exploring a surface level, simpler designed area like Mondstadt and Liyue.

I just keep looking back and forth. It's so pretty. As a Day 1 player, I love looking back at the map and seeing how much the world has grown, and how much room it still has to grow.

Holy..! I joined in summer 2022 so I didn't realize the map was THAT small at launch. Was the Chasm added first, or Inazuma? Was there a mountain in sight out-of-bounds before Dragonspine was added to the map? Was Dragonspine the first expansion?

We had dragonspine in 2020, if you're referring to launch then you would need to crop out the golden house since that came out in 1.1

Been playing since 1.6, ~730 hours, only region with the 100% exploration (according to the city rep system but it isn't since Starfell Valley isn't at 100% on the map but that one region is painful as fuck for no good reason) is Mondstadt, most nations still got a fairly decent chunk left to do, including the sub areas (ie Dragonspine), generally speaking i been taking it slow and avoiding burning myself out, even though the Aranara quest did actually do it, even with taking it slowly that sucks ass to do. I ain't doing true 100% exploration since that is A. sounds like hell and B. I rarely use the interactive map so outside of the Fontaine occuli and shrines of depth, next to nothing has been marked on it as done

as a 1.5 player who thought that she was super late to the game at the time, its interesting to think that dragonspine had been the only expansion that i missed. i was pretty much done with everything available before 1.6 dropped (and no, i didnt feel rushed, and getting to Liyue early didnt feel like a bad experience at all.)
