Ngl there were so many challenges throughout the weekend. I went to weekend 2 so 420 was part of it. Seeing sublime, raye and many other artists celebrating Mary Jane was tough in a way. But I managed to not drink, smoke, or took any substances this week for the first time!! So proud of myself! Only think I took was Advils every night lol. Just wanted to share this win with y’all ✌️

From the second you start to drive by the windmills in the desert and half the billboards are artist set promotions, to the desert stage names where it’s not a blatant corporate advertisement like we get Gobi/Sahara/Mohave instead of AT&T mainstage, Toyota tent, Lockheed outdoor theater, etc. (yes I’m well aware there’s still tons of corporate sponsors).

There’s the giant art installations that add so much to the scenery and little touches everywhere that make it such a pleasant experience. But the biggest thing I’ve noticed are the artists that put on spectacular shows that are not often replicated at other festivals like with the set designs on stage, extremely fun collabs (Tems and Justin Bieber, Eric Prydz and Anyma, Aratashii Gakko and USC marching band), and just the energy they put out

Definitely feel very lucky to experience this kind of festival
