Andy Isabella
2018 trade up for Josh Rosen cost them 1st, 3rd and 5th.
And now Rosen was traded for 2nd.
Edit: sincere apologies for faux-pas in title! Thanks for the laughs though!
Andy might be undersized, but he ran a 4.31 with one of the best ten yard splits of all time. He also had over 1700 yards in his senior season and was a Biletnikoff finalist. You can’t really say he was just a speed guy, he was still good in college.
Obviously, his biggest alleged flaw is something that can’t be ignored. He can’t catch a cold. I feel like drops shouldn’t be a real problem though. He is also small, but pretty bulky for his height.
I also want to contextualize the drops here. I’m pretty sure he had 2 in his career. That’s it. His true catch percentage is perfectly fine.
I’m a big film grinder. His college film is not that great tbh. When he gets open, it’s never because he has a good feel for the game. It’s either because he beats them over the top (which happens a lot) or they’re just bad corners. I don’t think he’s anything special. He also looks weird when he runs, like a less aggravated Pacheco, and doesn’t seem to be especially bright when it comes to routes.
That being said, he shows fantastic YAC and field stretching ability. A lot more of receiver production relies on scheme than people give it credit for. I don’t see how this man is not useful to every single team in the league. He went to the Cardinals, a poorly run team, and wasn’t even given the opportunity to show anything despite being a second rounder. His snap shares are atrocious. Yes snaps are earned, but when you’re a bad team you might as well play your second rounder. Even QJ got a lot of snaps, and he shows nothing positive. I just don’t really understand.
Edit: I understand he is not good at the “football” portion of the game. That part is clear. I just don’t see why he can’t be effectively used as a short YAC receiver and a vertical field stretcher at the same time, neither of which rely on much route running savvy or finesse. He’s not just athletic, he’s great at making defenders miss and breaking tackles.
Josh Allen just threw an incomplete sceen pass to Arizona Cardinals legend Andy Isabella.
Cardinals ties on both teams, we cant lose boys.

I get it’s pre season but damn. He looks like a real NFL player. I kinda hope he’s active on game days.

I was really excited for him this year thinking he was going to get a lot of playing time, but with az getting Nuk and fitz staying another year really hurts his production. What are the bella owners thinking about this? Still hope? Or not looking good?
Browns fan here. Congrats on getting JJ Watt!
Just wanted to get a general consensus on Andy Isabella. The Browns really need a burner, and I was a big Isabella guy when he came out. I know he hasn't produced a ton, but wasn't sure the reasoning.
Basically, I am here to ask:
-Does Isabella have a future in Arizona?
-If not, what would want back in a trade? Picks, players, combination of both?
-Any other players that you would like to see moved?
