Alex Caruso
His mugshot is being spread all throughout twitter. Free him and everyone locked up on weed charges.
I know Caruso has been memed a ton, and I also know he's earned the legit respect of a bunch of neutral fans this year, but it's pretty crazy to think how far he's come just this season. Of course, three years ago he joined the Lakers as an undrafted rookie because of his impressive play in Summer League, and was on a 2-way contract for the previous two years. But this year was his first on a legit NBA contract with the main squad, and yet in the opening night loss to the Clippers, Caruso was just a bench warmer, Quite the year for The Accountant.
“Also to this point. I stood at half court watching till he got up till see if he was okay. Then when I was back by our bench a teammate made a joke and I laughed. I wasn’t laughing at the foul”
“It was very unfortunate how it played out. I jumped to block it with my left and as I’m spinning went to grab the ball with my right hand not throw him down. It was a really hard fall and I’m glad he’s okay. If I could do the play over again knowing he’d fall like that I wouldn’t make the play”

Edited: (explanation)
UPDATE: (Allen states he has apologized to Caruso)
UPDATE: (Allen acknowledges his past)
Alex Caruso has won 4 playoff series and 16 playoff games so far in his career, while the Timberwolves have only won in franchise history and . Since becoming a franchise in 1989, they've been to the playoffs 9 times, only making it out of the 1st round once in 2004, where they lost in 6 games to the Shaq-Kobe-Payton-Malone Lakers in the conference finals.
(I know I could say the same thing for many other players in the NBA and on the Lakers in particular, but let's be honest, Caruso has the highest meme potential and is probably gonna get the most clicks.)
Today, live on TNT, the results for the NBA All Star voting were revealed. There were some obvious results, but also some surprises. One surprise? Alex Caruso got more fan votes than Russell Westbrook. Westbrook was 5th amongst Western guards, while Caruso was 4th.
