Minimum wage or a flat rate per child is not unreasonable. Some sitters in my area (VHCOL) would easily charge $15-$25 per hour, per child. You may be able to qualify for after-school care at the school site. (Our district has this at most elementary schools.) but the issue isn’t the sitter wanting a fair price for his or her time.

NTA. It is the parents choice if you will follow traditions like Easter bunny, tooth fairy, Santa, etc. but I am also giving your parents the benefit of the doubt that maybe they are not used to being around small children, since you live abroad and have fallen out of habit of censoring topics that are inappropriate around children.

If they keep it up and refuse to acknowledge that there is a kid around, at some point it may be time to cut your trip short.

His outfit fits so well! This is a much better fitted suit than some of the ones he’s been wearing in the last few weeks. Natalie looks great but I think the dress called for her to have her hair up for balance. And a shoe with no strap for a dress with a slit like that. It cuts off the length or her leg.
