May DAy’s Immigrant Solidarity march a success!
Over 250 immigrants, family members, and their friends and allies braved the ominous weather forecast and took to the streets, asking of their community RESPECT, JUSTICE, HUMANE TREATMENT, and AN END TO THE HORRIFIC I.C.E. RAIDS and MASS DETENTION.
Some lonely-looking Minutemen…
Rally at the county courthouse…
and then back to Cornwall Park for food, music, and dancing!
…and of course, pinatas.
Thanks to all who made Bellingham’s (Second Annual!) Farmworker Solidarity March such a safe, fun, and fulfilling event. See you next year! -CS
