This is gaming/the internet at its best and I wish there was so much more of that.

[–]OmnipresentCPU 164 points165 points  (5 children)

I’m pretty good at Fortnite and love playing random duos for this kind of thing. Last year, I was playing, super cute kid comes on the mic. No wins, told me people were always mean to him. Got him 2 in a row, afterwards when I was hopping off his mom got on the mic and thanked me personally, I’ll never forget that.

[–]kkim817 65 points66 points  (3 children)

“when I was hopping off his mom” bro you need some punctuation 😂😂😂

[–]OmnipresentCPU 44 points45 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t 😉

[–]a_glorious_bass-turd 4 points5 points  (1 child)

He makes the kid call him Dad now

[–]Corecorec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

” go take a ice cream kid, now I’ll show your mum how we do this “

[–]davidnickbowie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are awesome!!!

[–]Infinite-Sleep3527 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think we’ve all had wholesome gaming memories online. They’re not the majority, but they definitely exist! I can personally recount a handful of similar memories (me being the kid) on the OG Xbox live 🥺🥺

[–]donnyfingerguns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know, such a great video. I grew up in the MW2 lobby days, so hearing the joy in this kid was awesome

[–]Tawn94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dunkey has a great series going called fortnite daycare. Its one of the most wholesome things gaming related!

[–]RyanRags_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not many creators spread their happiness in the world so social media where most things are dark and depressing. The happy people tend to be much quieter than the sad ones on social. Show and spread love hopefully we can see more people doing things like this!

The best thing I see today, helping children in any context is a generous and big-hearted act

That's why let's be a little kind when playing games😅. We never know, sometimes there are cute kids like these.

Nah fuck that, just be nice to people whether you think they're a kid or not

      [–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

aint normalising shit its expecting people to be decent humans. A bit of shit talk is part of the game but competitive shooters are filled with toxic people who care way too much.

      [–]Nuicakes 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It horrifies me to think that kids like this beat my ass so easily.

      [–]Nuicakes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It horrifies me to think that kids like this beat my ass so easily.

      [–]Commodsaiio 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This gave me all the feels and I just watched Marcel the Shell with shoes on and this is just as wholesome!!

      [–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it before and could help but wached the whole thing again. This is what is amazing about gaming, at any random moment you can connect with someone you admire or a pro player.

      [–]Compendyum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

      What an awesome human.

      [–]gratefulphish420 255 points256 points  (6 children)

Being the father of two, when my oldest who is now in college first started watching people on YouTube play video games, I couldn't understand why he would not just want to play the game itself instead. But then over the years, I even got into watching some live streams with my kids so it hit me very hard when Technoblade died of cancer. So watching this has brought my so much joy, though I'll admit I am in a puddle of tears.

      [–]Qwearman 44 points45 points  (4 children)

FR. I hadn’t heard of Technoblade but it amazes me how people don’t see the value in watching someone else play. Probably the lil brother in me but I never played these games, so usually when I watch it’s bc I don’t have interest in the game but wanna hang out.

This kid is genuinely so funny also. I hope he got a lot of love after this

      [–]gratefulphish420 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Now I'm all about watching other people play video games, we own two top of the line driving simulators so we can race against each other but I find watching the YouTuber Super GT play Gran Turismo to be highly entertaining.

      [–]Prankasaurus_Rex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, Super GT is the best! Him and Jimmy Broadbent are so entertaining with their racing commentary. It's cool seeing them both getting a bit into real racing over this last year too.

      [–]Senior_Walk_7582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

      Ah. The Albon Paradox.

      [–]Russian_Rocket23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid in the early/mid-90's, my dad would scold me for not letting my little cousin play. But my cousin just wanted to watch me (to this day, he no longer games and just watches streams and Let's Plays). If I had only known then that I could have possibly made a lucrative career out of playing games, haha.

      [–]Careful_Driver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What the hell?! Technoblade died?! I swear I was just watching his video the other day. I knew about the cancer situation but I had no idea he died since I didn’t keep up with him that much. That’s so sad man..

      [–]gratefulphish420 132 points133 points  (6 children)

He might have been about to cry but this had me in tears.

      [–]blueindian1328 36 points37 points  (0 children)

For real. I thought of my little boy trying to figure out anything and everything and how there’s so many gatekeepers and bullies. But then there’s dudes like this guy. I’ve never even heard of Ryan Stoker and I do enjoy watching a livestream. Im going to be tuning into more of his stuff.

      [–]koios1031 7 points8 points  (2 children)

As a dad, I was crying. My brother died this week. My cousin tried to kill himself as well. This had more in tears.

      [–]jorvis 3 points4 points  (1 child)

      Huge internet hug man.

      [–]koios1031 3 points4 points  (0 children)

      Thank you.

      [–]camcamcam710 5 points6 points  (0 children)

      Me too dude, me too

      [–]EardrumsGetInTheWay 83 points84 points  (2 children)

I'm going to pretend the kid is actually Marcel the Shell

      [–]Hot_Drummer7311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      With shoes on ❤️

Holy shit, it's been a hot minute since I heard that name. Marcel brings so much dopamine. Thanks for the wholesomeness reminder.

      [–]Meatoe 72 points73 points  (0 children)

      *dies of wholesomness overdose*

      [–]Colekillian 59 points60 points  (0 children)

This was really, really nice, bro.

      [–]Emanon1999 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Fuck I’m crying. This is so wholesome. Be like Ryan and follow little dude!

      [–]PsychologicalDebts 80 points81 points  (1 child)

This is one of the best things I've ever seen on the internet. I'm crying tears of joy right now. That was so wholesome.

      [–]Significant_Diet4828 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This gave me all the feels and I just watched Marcel the Shell with shoes on and this is just as wholesome!!

      [–]Secure_Garlic_4434 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing I’m Zombies with a young kid last week he was so excited I accepted his friend request it made me smile man lol

      [–]izmaname 37 points38 points  (7 children)

I think this is great but god does that kid sound young

      [–]ZombieGroan 23 points24 points  (6 children)

I was about to say this is sweet but kid shouldn’t be playing warzone.

      [–]izmaname 16 points17 points  (5 children)

Ya it’s not even just that the game is violent the players are cruel as hell

      [–]ZombieGroan 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Chat is fine I’m just salty dying to these 10 year old shits. Joking of course. Totally not the violence but yeah chat is really toxic at times, but I’m also concerned with parents using games as a babysitter. Seems like the kid also has some sort of social media maybe his own twitch which is concerning if parents are not involved.

      [–]izmaname 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree he seems too naive for social media. It could get him in some deep water. Game chats are going to devour this poor kid. I would say violence level is a case by case for kids and not necessarily about age. I still think it would be violent for him.

      [–]thetreat 0 points1 point  (2 children)

You can turn off random death chat. In audio settings change it to party chat only or friends only.

      [–]izmaname 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You really think this kid is going to do that?

      [–]thetreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

🤷‍♂️ if I were his parent I'd probably change that but it's possible and/or likely that they have no fucking clue. And he could just change it back. It definitely isn't a game for kids his age.

      [–]Victory1871 12 points13 points  (0 children)

      Wholesome

      [–]Eh-Eh-Ronn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

K I’m not a streamer but I am truly terrible at FPS and this is so fucking cute

      [–]whatevertf123 9 points10 points  (0 children)

      Made my day.

      [–]After_Werewolf_6496 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This kid reminds me of when I completed my first raid in Destiny 2. The old Leviathan raid with those guys, back when I was just barely in high school. These old farts put up with me and brought me through. So rewarding that I now get to do the same to younger, newer players.

      [–]wee-g-19 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is a streamer who is doing good for his community. That memory will live long with that little dude and that was the best and CUTEST video ever. Well done that lad.

      [–]Torbax 38 points39 points  (1 child)

it horrifies me to think that kids like this play the same game I do. Not to the sense of 'I hate childeren' but more in the sense of 'I also suck at this game and I just got beaten by a 10 year old that doesn't have have hair on his balls yet'

      [–]jentlefolk 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My friend's 11 year old cousin joined us in fortnite the other day and he carried us lol

      [–]bankaimayk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

that made me teary eyed and im 38 fcking years old.

      [–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (1 child)

This is really sweet but also, I'm a little bit startled by how enraptured this eight year old is with engagement metrics. Kids have fucking KPIs for school popularity now. What a nightmare.

      [–]tc-rex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh man am I emotional after that. I just helped my kiddo get a victory in fortnite not too long ago and his excitement was unreal. Much love

      [–]GlobalFunds345 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember playing a ranked match of CSGO when I was like 10 and the randoms that joined me actually tried to teach me stuff and not scream for every mistake. They did tell me a game where terrorists are blowing up bombs and stuff shouldn't be my first choice for a boy my age though

      [–]_enkays 4 points5 points  (1 child)

      [–]CdnGamerGal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

      Me too, man. Me too

      [–]ChunkyPunky67 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Go look at his TikTok, he's adorable

      [–]NicolasCageNo2Fan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He's got 31.4K followers now (will probably grow more), long way away from 72 😩❤️

      [–]BullofIron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kids this age shouldn’t be playing this game, or have tik tok to be honest

      [–]Agk3los 7 points8 points  (1 child)

This is adorable but that kid shouldn't be on TikTok much less have his own TikTok.

      [–]MammothMeaning7888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

      Gg 🙂

      [–]Reasonable_Answer586 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Homies helping homies :) gotta love it!

      [–]C1sko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Busy thing I’ve seen all day. Props to the steamer for being so cool with the lilies little guy.

      [–]CdnGamerGal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a woman of a certain age (but not really that old - lol) I never understood the point of streamers and stuff. I couldn’t have been more wrong. This video just blew my mind and left me feeling so hopeful! Good job!

      [–]H2OletsgoPMA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so sweet! I’m 40 and been playing videos games since NES. I played a new game the other day online on Xbox “unturned”. I had never played before and a young kid from Australia help me learn the game online . THANK YOU to all the nice online gaming people out there ! Peace and love

      [–]PuzzleheadedPlate201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a cool kid . This is how you save the world.

      [–]tbid8643[🍰] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

      Atta boy to you mate.

      [–]Siellus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As wholesome as this is, anyone else overwhelmingly depressed by how much a kid is effected by having followers?

      [–]PembrokeBoxing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the sweetest thing I've seen all week.

      [–]j0k3rNhArL3y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is beautiful. We can be sweet to sweet kids. Toxic kids will get muted. I've got a 5 year old in my clan. He was brought into the group by his grandfather. It makes me smile when he gets on the mic yelling our names 🤣

      [–]SetInMuhWayze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've watched this more than once, what a cool dude.

      [–]papi-punk 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Is it just me or does that sound like an adult with a voice changer

      [–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

      100%

      [–]Biased_individual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah something’s def fishy about this.

      [–]K5RN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my new favorite video 🥹 how adorable

      [–]CegoPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brilliant!! I love it. I will follow both of them.

      [–]southernbitterness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone is interested in his TT account. The original one was banned for some reason

      https://www.tiktok.com/@extreme_paul6?_t=8UXLedTIxUQ&_r=1

      [–]9myuun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So glad this was recorded. Need more wholesome gaming/streamer content!

      [–]hookem419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never know when you’ll get to be a hero or even why. But one things for sure take every chance you can to make a positive impact on a kid and be that hero

      [–]merit33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm riding this kid's high for a strong minute here.

      [–]r87m 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Pretty sure things a setup, smurf account with a voice changer.

      [–]Cocoallure -1 points0 points  (2 children)

What kind of parents let him play this games and have TikTok? He needs parental supervision!!

      [–]Rilderdjut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He need some Belt Slapstick in his neck

      [–]CareUseful -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

      🦆

      [–]Izuro -3 points-2 points  (2 children)

Its got to be scripted, no way a young kid is gonna ask leading questions like “Are you that TikTok guy?” and “Are you live right now?”. I doubt its a voice changer though, the guy probably just found the kid who was already playing warzone and offered to collab for exposure, which is pretty predatory. Edit: If you Google this same topic, you’ll see a hundred “helping kid win first warzone game” videos

      [–]SkateSurfCrypto 7 points8 points  (0 children)

you are over thinking it, streamers run duo's all the time with randoms and some troll and pretend to suck and some meet people who are down on there luck and cheer them up.

Its very common for the streamers to run into kids who are brand new and then duo with them helping them get a win and its always random and done live on stream, when they choose random duo you can't choose who it teams you with and on Ryans live he was entering games with random people. He met this kid after like 20 random matches with other random people. Again he has no say what random person joins his game when he chooses random duo. The game auto matches you with some random person in the world.

and yes its very common for someone to ask "are you xyz person, you sound just like them". some streamers troll and pretend they aren't and some say yep thats me.

      [–]TelephoneNew1270 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

      Kapwing

      [–]No-Wear-9199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made that kids whole year! Hell yeah man that’s the kind of content I love to see!

      [–]BadKarma11_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And people say gaming is bad. Those kids are bad and through gaming he just had an amazing experience. Props to the guy who helped him!

      [–]maughanster8507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t watch tik tok streamers but I officially like this guy.

      [–]Certain_Cup533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love everything going on here, but dude you can not say bro with that accent.

      You sound faffin ridiculous.

Anyways, I fully support everything else about you.

      [–]VerimTamunSalsus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      That is way too cute.

      [–]skully_kiddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, fuck it, I'll make a TikTok account just for that dude right there. Absolute legend.

      [–]LWLgaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolute legend in my books now

      [–]justanopinionolurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      [–]OneSockLand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, i hope my little boy has an experience like this......

not the bullying obviously, but thanks for the warm fuzzy feeling on this!!

      [–]xLikeafiddlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It reminds me of playing mw2 and some fella was getting serious abuse of the lads he was playing with the next match we were on estate and they were on the other team but he was still with me and I nuked the fuckers, they changed their tone pretty quickly.

      [–]Yahmo_Dubhghlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit. I’m f’ing 50 years old. I’m not a gamer. This has my crying like crazy. Freakin awesome. That dude is the embodiment of being a man and caring for others.

      [–]BubbleThrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best thing I’ve seen in a loooooong time. Gives me hope for our future. Outstanding

      [–]truthslayer44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man and most people are just the biggest a holes on rebirth. Love it

      [–]Automatic_Animal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember when Modern Warfare/Warzone used to not suck butt? Good times...

      [–]Logic-DL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I legitimately thought this was going to end up like the other famous Warzone video of the guy saying he'd buy the battle pass for the kid, then proceeding to cut to him launching a little bird into a tower and killing said kid, then himself.

      [–]Curious_Clairise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      This got me smiling.

      [–]regretful-username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need more guys like Ryan playing cod.

      [–]exact0khan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is genuine gold. Hats off to this guy.

      [–]Aware_Indication_596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was sweet. Nice and wholesome and I hope the wee dude gets lots of followers!

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kids at school bully him because he isn’t a cod pro. Gotta be a cod pro to be cool with the school

      [–]howsmytyping143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mom of an 8 year old… thank you!! That was so neat to see

      [–]VegansAreRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Tears here.

Anyone checked how many followers the kids has now?

      [–]Megamorter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      [–]BooBooLiciousNess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh.... as an adult now, growing up poor and not having friends, this made me cry hard.... such a humble man. Kepp it up mate, I applaud you, the future generations need more of you.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Who’s cutting onions?!?!

      [–]Variety43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The internet needs more of this.

      [–]mrtjerrild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Good lad Ryan.

      [–]igonnalosemypassword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how you should treat new players, big ups!

      [–]Tsifsamortis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is everyone just going to ignore that this is setup? The “kid” is literally a grown man with a voice changer.

      [–]Lion126TSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was pretty cool. Put a smile on my face this morning

      [–]Northrax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)
