The koreans on the borders usually do have information from abroad but it's more than that. There's limited freedom of movement, extremely scarce food a dramatically oversized military and collective punishments. Its almost impossible to rebel when you're starving. Especially when the military isn't.

If his issue is light sensitivity, dilating his eyes is probably not a great idea either.

New kitten! But i have a question, she HATES being picked up. But loves being petted and sleeping close to me? What does this mean by SupGapNgl in cats

[–]Intrepidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats often hate not having their feet on something. Try to move your arm when you pick her up so her back feet can rest on it.

Well you would. You're seeing your white blood cells and having an infection would make more of them.

Evidence shows that a substantial number of Russian soldiers and security-force members who have been deployed to Ukraine have received their regular military pay and combat bonuses via Gazprombank. Gazprombank is not on the list of banks sanction by the US and EU. by DoremusJessup in worldnews

The price of gas has risen 300%. Its not just a few dollars. Typical sheltered American thinking. How do you expect the poor or even middle class to survive the winter? To cook food? To wash? Most European homes are gas boiler powered. Europe literally cannot get gas from anywhere else aside from liquid natural gas terminals which are at max capacity. More nuclear plants wouldn't help either.

What's the worst adult temper tantrum you've ever seen or heard about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

No you don't get arrested and put on trial Jesus. Unless you're intentionally letting everyone through constantly then you could get a big ass fine and fired. The company might temporarily lose their licence to sell restricted products though which is very bad.

A Ukrainian TV host crowdfunded $20 million to buy Bayraktar drones. The company making them refused the money and said it'd donate the aircraft instead. by Paneraiguy1 in worldnews

Yeah giving the Russian top level anti air system practice targeting the F35 would negate its main draw. Its why often F35s fly with bits mounted on them to distort their radar shape when not in combat

Russia warns UK will 'cease to exist' if Lithuania standoff triggers nuclear WW3 by zviwkls in worldnews

The UK nuclear deterrent is submarine based. The prime minister does not know where all the submarines are at any given time. How does that not make sense?

And probably Japan. As much as their constitution says they can't declare war, they'd quickly change it to take the kurils.

While there was no excuse to to slack on defence commitments the idea of trading with Russia was to globalise and westernised them so much it would be inconceivable to attack Europe. Same idea that Europe and the US applied to China. Its also not Hungarys fault Russia has cheap energy and grain. I wouldn't exactly say the country specifically got rich off it.

In theory. Reality is TFL is bleeding money due to the massive drop in commuters, the work from home concept is incompatible with TFLs current work load. They've literally discussed completely closing a line to save money. (500 mil shortfall is not small)

The rail system in the UK has strikes on days that end in Y. They are unfortunately used as the example of toxic strikes because of it.

Put a bag of ice with a rip in it into a waste food container (room temperature). Ice melted, made a huge puddle and someone slipped and sued.
