TOTW: fellas, is it queer to be gay?

TOTW: fellas, is it queer to be gay?

Topic of the Week - guest contribution by MK Rain

An middle schooler in my life asked me a question to this effect the other day, and for this tranarchist, it kickstarted the most beautiful kind of existential crisis. Of course this tweenage organizer, who didn't use the a-word for herself, was gay—but in her possibly-ungovernable gay (and maybe queer) self, was she still practicing anarchy to some extent?

A new rupture in Spanish anarcho-syndicalism

A new rupture in Spanish anarcho-syndicalism

From CEDAS-ASCED

Spanish anarcho-syndicalism has experienced a new rupture. The crisis had been brewing for a long time. It came to an end between 2015 and 2017. The CNT-AIT and CNT-CIT (or CNT©1) are now two distinct organizations. In the international libertarian movement, this conflict is little known, or it is observed with irony and condescension: a ridiculous battle over the CNT acronyms, when there are many other more urgent battles to be fought…

Black Anarchist Reflections, From Bash Back! and Beyond

what would the furries do? (wwfd?)

From Bash Back

We are writing this document as black anarchist attendees of Bash Back! who are trying to grapple with some of the broader issues/organizational questions within the black anarchist milieu and how those convos came up during the weekend for us and our homies. While we come from a variety of political backgrounds, we share a committed desire to insurrection and revolt for black autonomy. It was great to meet one another and kick it over the weekend. We got to hash out the answers to some questions. There was a lot of necessary conflict at Bash Back!. While reportbacks are fun, though often misleading, our aim in this document is to talk in a broader, abstract way about some of the questions and dynamics that occurred for black participants.

...made with dynamite and butane gas in a cargo truck on 31st Street in Escarcega, (Mexico)

At approximately 10 p.m. on September 9, 2023 we placed an explosive device made with dynamite and butane gas in a cargo truck on 31st Street in Escarcega, Campeche, with the intention of sabotaging the war that the Mexican government is waging against the jungle with the construction of the so-called “Mayan train”.

A Bash Back! reportback from a group of janky & rowdy queers

A Bash Back! reportback from a group of janky & rowdy queers who had a gay ol time

who had a gay old time

From Scenes from the Atlanta Forest

Bash Back! was nothing short of the joyfully militant & orgiastically unhinged gathering it advertised itself to be– queer AF, silly, sexy & sketchy antics ensued almost every day/nite. A lot of us felt held in an urban space where there was room to be all kinds of things & ways, & not much was taboo.

Fuck Bash Back! 23

Fuck Bash Back! 23

From Bash Back

Fuck these middle aged organizers and their bullshit attempts to appease our rage. We will not be fucking stopped. Were you ever even nihilists?? You are almost as bad as the tiqqunists. We’re not some academic conference. So we’re saying no more workshops. All we want is orgies and actions. We want to be together and fight when we need to and wherever the fuck we want.

Argentina: Justice for Natix!

From Sociedad de Resistencia Oficios Varios Zona Sur GBA / FORA (facebook)
September 15, 2023

On Monday, September 11th, in police station N° 61 in Fray Luis Beltran, Maipu, Mendoza, punk and anarchist comrade Natix (Natalí Cardozo Guiñazu) was "found hanged." We know that punks, the anarchists, are a nuisance for the system, a nuisance to be eliminated, and even more, being imprisoned in the jails, we are more prone for the police (hired killers at the service of the powerful) to do whatever they want with us, with our bodies. We know that the police use and invent suicides that did not happen to cover up their murders in the prisons, and the friends and relatives of Natix believe that this is what happened in that police station.

For a new Anarchist Center in Lisbon!

Received via email

Three collectives that belong to the history of Portuguese anarchism – Centro de Cultura Libertária, BOESG (library) and A Batalha (newspaper) – got together to buy a new Anarchist Center in the Lisbon region: a common space, open to old and new collectives, that will rid us, once and for all, of the pressure brought about by gentrification and real estate. The new Anarchist Center will be a social center but will also host the relevant archives and libraries of the three collectives. In the coming months, we will be hosting a massive fundraising campaign, and we are asking for the contribution of all persons and collectives solidary to the anarchist cause.

Write an anarchist prisoner today!

For those of us who choose not to accept the discourse of the powerful, we know that the legal principles that underpin the legality of the State are not applied to everyone in the same way. Paper can hold a lot and can show us a vision far removed from reality.
