The Festival is presented on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., by the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage and co-sponsored by the National Park Service. Admission is always free.
In 2022, the Festival returns to the National Mall after two years of virtual programming. Featured programs include Earth Optimism × Folklife: Inspiring Conservation Communities and United Arab Emirates: Living Landscape | Living Memory. A detailed schedule will be available online by late spring.
