TV creator-director-producer Brad Falchuk (The Politician, Glee, Pose) receives the Writers Guild of America West’s Valentine Davies Award from Golden Globe-winning and Academy Award-nominated actress Kate Hudson (Glee, Almost Famous).
One of the founding members of The Young Storytellers Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop literacy through the art of storytelling, Falchuk was honored in recognition of his positive impact on young writers to increase literacy and promote self-esteem through arts education in schools.
The WGAW’s Valentine Davies Award honors Guild members whose humanitarian efforts and service have brought dignity and honor to writers everywhere.

Brad Falchuk is a successful writer, producer, and director in Hollywood. His credits include “Glee,” “American Horror Story,” and “Nip/Tuck.” He wasn’t diagnosed with dyslexia until college. That diagnosis changed his life. “I no longer was identifying as someone that wasn’t that bright. I was identifying as someone that had a way of seeing the world that was different.”
In this Brad Falchuk interview, he opens up about his dyslexia diagnosis and his talent for writing. Brad discusses why failure is actually an opportunity to learn and shares his advice on how to help kids find success with dyslexia.
