Storm King: Benefit Auction 2020

Auction Closed

Artsy presents Storm King: Benefit Auction 2020.

The New Yorker recently called a trip to Storm King Art Center “a journey to a tract of paradise.” We couldn’t agree more. Celebrating their 60th Anniversary this year, Storm King has provided a restorative experience of art in nature when people needed it most.

We invite you to bid on a selection of artworks by artists including Chakaia Booker, Alyson Shotz, Mark Dion, Alice Aycock, plus a Storm King getaway weekend. Storm King Art Center will share a portion of the proceeds from the Benefit Auction with the participating artists or make a donation to an organization of their choice.

Storm King Art Center is a 500-acre outdoor museum located in New York’s Hudson Valley, where visitors experience large-scale sculpture and site-specific commissions under open sky. Since 1960, Storm King has been dedicated to stewarding the hills, meadows, and forests of its site and surrounding landscape. Building on the visionary thinking of its founders, Storm King supports artists and some of their most ambitious works. Changing exhibitions, programming, and seasons offer discoveries with every visit.

All are invited to attend free, artist-led 60th Anniversary Celebration virtual programs examining Storm King’s commitment to art in nature.

To make a donation to sustain Storm King’s most important work: protecting their landscape and collection, and presenting new exhibitions and programs each year, click here.

Please note that each artwork ships from a different location, please see the lot description. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

Bidding will be open exclusively on Artsy and will close on Thursday, October 15th at 5:00pm EDT.
