    NC State Board of Elections issues statement about accidentally mailing two ballots to around 500 voters. Trump howled about this earlier today. Statement says it is impossible for a voter to vote twice as they are issued a unique identifier.

    🚨🚨🚨 The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has extended PA’s mail ballot deadline, ordering ballots to be counted if counties receive them by mail by 5 pm Friday, Nov. 6 and either are postmarked by Election Day or have no evidence of being sent after it.

    I’m going to find a different way to say this every day for the next month and a half: The key difference between 2016 and 2020 is that Trump has assumed control of the Administrative State and will attempt to deploy it to maintain power.

    The nightmare scenario I can’t stop considering: if Barr wanted to prosecute a local mayor over a policy dispute, what is he going to do on November 5 when local elections officials are still counting votes and Trump says it should stop?

    The president recently led crowds in chants to jail both his predecessor in office and his 2016 opponent. Barr has suggested protestors be charged with sedition.

    Barr says America is becoming like eastern European country. "Now you have to call your adversary a criminal, and instead of beating them politically, you try to put them in jail...If you’re not in power, you’re in jail -- or you’re a member of the press."

    The University of Georgia will have football on campus this fall. It will not have early voting.

    We are deeply saddened to announce that there will be no on-campus early voting location for the 2020 Presidential Election. However, students registered to vote in Athens can still vote early at the board of elections downtown starting October 12!
