Re the unusual blue labels. There is at present an identical record for sale on eBay which is in Hong Kong and is said to be a Singaporean pressing. The Deram bag it is in has Made In Singapore printed on it. So, maybe these scans are of the Singaporean copy.

[YouTube Video] As the label specifically mentions "English lyrics" there must be a foreign original. Reisfeld and Marbot emigrated from Germany to France. So it is likely a French original or, less likely, German. Does anybody know where the melody comes from?

The lacquers for this were cut at Atlantic Recording Studios - a hint as to who this was originally meant for, before Jay And The Americans' vocals were laid down.
