Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect has been banned from the platform

According to numerous reports, popular gaming streamer Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm has been suspended from the platform. According to industry insider and journalist Rod “Slasher” Breslau, sources say the ban is permanent. A statement from Twitch shared with media outlets did not go into detail, saying "As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service." Dr Disrespect was temporarily suspended from Twitch last year after broadcasting from a public bathroom during gaming convention E3.

On Friday, an Ontario judge delivered a verdict in the trial of off-duty Toronto police officer Michael Theriault and his brother, Christian, who were accused of aggravated assault and attempting to obstruct justice in the 2016 beating of Dafonte Miller. Michael was found guilty of assault, but not aggravated assault. Christian was found not guilty of both assault and aggravated assault. Both were found not guilty of obstructing justice.
