Why have the British media abdicated in exposing the contradictions in the Government’s coronavirus polices? Listen to ’s take on how “journalism has changed fundamentally” & why he believes 24-hour news & social media have "thinned out the quality of…journalism.”

Today’s reading is ’s ‘Perseids’, a poem about stargazing, something we are probably doing more of these days: “he grips his mother’s hand, his star caught in the dark of his pupil.”

A quarter of a century after the Troubles ended, it will be a damning indictment of our political system if a victim has to go to court to secure a pension. Bizarrely, the people who suffered the most here, are being treated the worst.

I wasn’t meant to start school until I was five but I took myself round to the local Primary. Hid at the back of the class until the teacher asked why she had 1 extra penny ( or whatever it was) for the black babies. I immediately confessed and she was so impressed I got to stay!
