    I have a lasting memory of walking with my father, a man, Pat Grant, was cutting hay with a scythe and he left an island of grass in the field. Daddy told me it was for the Corncrake’s nest. I returned and lying on the ground watched the chicks running in and out of the island.

    A very powerful,moving & disturbing report by Newsnight. I was struck by the real compassion & care of the staff interviewed & also of the Managing Director of the very large care provider. And most of all of the vulnerability of the OAP residents left unprotected by Government.

    ... why have mainstream broadcasters, apart from & , print journalists not rigorously interrogated ministers & advisors about what had been happening in NI Care Homes? Loved ones died in questionable circumstances.

    ..I’m more convinced than ever ministers & advisors ought to be held accountable for what happened in Care Homes where so many died. This scandal’s not about money wasted but about how many LOST their lives in Homes in QUESTIONABLE CIRCUMSTANCES.
