    Hear hear! EU remains our best hope for humane and progressive government in midst of authoritarian and pseudo populist regimes around the world.

    EU Budget/Recovery package is a remarkable and important achievement. Too much focus on inevitably tortuous negotiations. There is no remote parallel for sovereign democratic countries being able to reach such a wide and profound agreement.

    My aunt, Ruby Doris Smith Robinson, then student, spent nearly 3 months in jail in Jackson, Miss as a Freedom Rider. She was one of the founders of SNCC and died at 26, before I was born. cried each time he spoke of her bravery to me.
