The South Korean government has refuted claims that Kim Jong-un is in a critical condition following surgery, saying there is “no unusual signs” regarding the leader’s health. The statement comes following a CNN report which said that Kim is in “grave danger” after undergoing a surgical procedure. A report from Reuters, citing specialty website Daily NK, said Kim is recovering at a villa in the Mount Kumgang resort county of Hyangsan after receiving the surgery on April 12. Speculation about his health began following his absence from an anniversary event.
