The Facebook page of far-right political group United Patriots Front is no longer online and its leader says he's also been banned.

Far-right, anti-Islam political group United Patriots Front has been removed from Facebook with its 120,000 followers no longer able to access the page.

The group's page has been suspended several times for posting objectionable material and was again taken offline this week.

In one of its last posts on Monday, the UPF asked if a US pastor was wrong for saying schools are producing "transgender communists".

Leader Blair Cottrell also says his name "may have been permanently barred" from the social network, but this does not appear to be the case.

"Anarchists and jihadists and Marxists on Facebook is fine - but no Nationalists! Who's really up against the state?" he posted to Twitter.

Facebook declined to comment on the matter.
