@SushmaSwaraj I am resident in Tokyo. I am having trouble getting certificate of eligibility for my new born daughter. Application was rejected with reason resident tax is not paid in full. But ward office confirmed that it is in order and paid from salary. Kindly help!

I can help you in Tokyo, and talk with the City office officials if you want. There might be some confusion. Certificate of Eligibilty (they issue) is an immigration matter the embassy can’t help I guess.

Thank you for your support. The confusion is with immigration bureau. They believe I have pending resident tax. I checked with ward office and they clarified that my resident tax is being deducted from salary,so there is no problem.
