16 districts which have big coal mines, have never benefited the locals, who have been forced to go to other states looking for jobs. The steps taken for commercial coal mining will benefit the locals and the whole locality will be developed: PM @narendramodi

The poor of India will benefit from the auction. The Eastern and the Central states will benefit from the coal related industries. The districts which have mines, have been left behind in development in spite of being in an advantageous position: PM @narendramodi

Coal, iron, bauxite & many other mineral reserves are found close to each other & in clusters naturally. The commercial auctioning of the coal mines today is a win win situation. A large population of India will get employment & states & companies will benefit: PM @narendramodi

Minerals and mining are the important sectors of our economy. Many reforms have been introduced which will benefit the other sectors too. Power generation, steel, aluminium, fertilizer and other sectors will be impacted positively: PM @narendramodi

Many steps were taken to control the coal block allotments and bring transparency into it. #India has opened up the coal auction and made the whole system transparent and competitive. New players will not have any financial issues and they will be encouraged: PM @narendramodi

This question has crossed my mind and also crores of Indians'. The coal sector has been kept away from transparency and competition. There were talks of coal scam in the allotment of coal blocks everywhere. Coal was produced somewhere and used in another state: PM @narendramodi

The coal sector is to come out of years of lockdown. India is the 4th largest nation & the second biggest producer of coal. We are not exporting coal but rather importing it. When we are part of the largest producer of coal, why are we not the largest exporter?: PM @narendramodi

When Aatmanirbhar Bharat was announced, everyone thought that this is another announcement. As days passed everyone realised the importance & the steps taken towards attaining the same. The steps taken by us, show how committed we are in attaining self reliance: PM @narendramodi
