    feel depressed.studying a full time tafe course,my job provider knows this yet has cancelled my payment this morning,I can’t even ring them as it’s not office hours and I’ve got tafe on Monday. I’m doing the right thing and still getting punished!

    It’s been more than 2yrs since I chaired the inquiry into . The Gov failed to implement the key recommendation of the committee, which was to suspend . Instead, the government ramped it up. To this day, people are pursued relentlessly

    Pensioners have been hit by . We recently learnt about Mark, a pensioner on the Disability Support Pension who paid a $10,000 debt without challenging. He was afraid of losing the DSP, were intimidating.

    We can relate, Paul. Learnt about Mark this week. He's on disability support pension, paid a $10,000 . Too risky to challenge, as what might do to him? What life improving things that money could have done for Mark? Opportunity stolen.

    Imagine what $4.4bn could do in the pockets of beneficiaries? Or provided free childcare to struggling parents? Or paid for decent food and care for the aged? Or shifted water to dry towns? Or provided social housing? Or free dental?

    That’s a bit unfair. Most employees are probably just holding on to make ends meet. It’s not a high paying role. Take your outrage to the policy writers and the politicians, not the frontline staff.

    My son has been for $600. He had 1 part time job and has actually reported less income than his employment statement states. He can't contact anyone at who can see the debt, let alone find where they think he cheated. What a disgusting system

    Here's one of the best ways we know to jam : If you have a dodgy debt, even if it's been paid, challenge it. Debts challenged go down on average by 75%. 1 in 5 are false. Tie them up in admin, and let them know it's not going to work.
