    Polarized, reductive and passionate regional discourse is designed to obscure reality and impede thoughtful answers to complex problems. A problem resistant to fixes. Will science & technology improve on religion, morality, reason and law to separate /facts from ?

    As painful & depressing as the political repression in is, the discourse around it is even more painful. There is no exit from this if the discourse is what it is today.

    So in other words, Israeli society (or voters at least) are a full two thirds right/center-right, and one third split between Orthodox, Arab and Zionist left. That’s a reality the world, including the Palestinians, needs to understand.

    Despite mergers since April to add to their base, the Zionist left is now smallest sector of the Israeli electorate. Both the (mostly)Arab parties of Joint List-13 seats- & the Ultra Orthodox- 17 seats- dwarf their 11 seats. That's a truth that Labor & Meretz need to confront
