Hyderabad: BJP national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao and other party leaders on Saturday met Governor ESL Narasimhan seeking his intervention in supply of irrigation water to Choppadandi segment as assured by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao before polls.
The delegation met the Governor and explained that the State government had failed to supply irrigation water to over 60,000 acres in Choppadandi segment through Sripada Yellampally project, due to which the farmers were losing their second crop and suffering losses.
The BJP leaders also requested the Governor to instruct the officials to pay compensation to oustees of Mid Manair Dam.
“The State government made several promises to the oustees, which it had not realised. People of submerged villagers have been facing hardships,” Muralidhar Rao said.
