Lyme disease, also known as Lyme borreliosis, is an infectious disease caused by bacteria of the Borrelia type. The most common sign of infection is an expanding area of redness, known as erythema migrans, that begins at the site of a tick bite about a week after it has occurred. The rash is typically neither itchy nor painful. About 25% of people do not develop a rash. Other early symptoms may include fever, headache, and feeling tired. If untreated, symptoms may include loss of the ability to move one or both sides of the face, joint pains, severe headaches with neck stiffness, or heart palpitations, among others. Months to years later, repeated episodes of joint pain and swelling may occur. Occasionally, people develop shooting pains or tingling in their arms and legs. Despite appropriate treatment, about 10 to 20% of people also develop joint pains, have memory problems, and feel tired much of the time.
Lyme disease is transmitted to humans by the bite of infected ticks of the Ixodes genus. Usually, the tick must be attached for 36 to 48 hours before the bacteria can spread. In North America, the only bacterium involved is Borrelia burgdorferi sensu stricto, while in Europe and Asia, the bacteria Borrelia afzelii and Borrelia garinii are also causes of the disease. The disease does not appear to be transmissible between people, by other animals, or through food. Diagnosis is based upon a combination of symptoms, history of tick exposure, and possibly testing for specific antibodies in the blood. Blood tests are often negative in the early stages of the disease. Testing of individual ticks is not typically useful.

ABC News is the news division of the American Broadcasting Company (ABC), owned by the Disney Media Networks division of the Walt Disney Company. Its flagship program is the daily evening newscast ABC World News Tonight; other programs include morning news-talk show Good Morning America, newsmagazine series Nightline, Primetime and 20/20, and Sunday morning political affairs program This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
ABC began news broadcasts early in its independent existence as a radio network after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) ordered NBC to spin off the former NBC Blue Network into an independent company in 1943. The split (which NBC conducted voluntarily in the event that its appeal to have the ruling overturned was denied) was enforced to expand competition in radio broadcasting in the United States as the industry had only a few companies such as NBC and CBS that dominated the radio market, and in particular, was intended to prevent the limited competition from dominating news and political broadcasting and projecting narrow points-of-view. Television broadcasting was suspended however, during World War II.
A disease is a particular abnormal condition, a disorder of a structure or function, that affects part or all of an organism. The causal study of disease is called pathology. Disease is often construed as a medical condition associated with specific symptoms and signs. It may be caused by factors originally from an external source, such as infectious disease, or it may be caused by internal dysfunctions, such as autoimmune diseases. In humans, "disease" is often used more broadly to refer to any condition that causes pain, dysfunction, distress, social problems, or death to the person afflicted, or similar problems for those in contact with the person. In this broader sense, it sometimes includes injuries, disabilities, disorders, syndromes, infections, isolated symptoms, deviant behaviors, and atypical variations of structure and function, while in other contexts and for other purposes these may be considered distinguishable categories. Diseases usually affect people not only physically, but also emotionally, as contracting and living with a disease can alter one's perspective on life, and one's personality.

Final Dr. Douwes found a cure for Lyme disease. Can it be true? A cure for Lyme disease? Let's know the complete treatment of Lyme disease at http://trulyheal.com/lyme-disease-recovery/ After searching for almost 1 year I have finally found a logical and conclusive treatment for Lyme which offers complete relief and lasting results. But before I share with you the concept of the treatment lets look at some very important facts that surround this disease. Data demonstrated that strains of Borrelia burgdorferi PKo and ATCC 35210 were impaired at temperatures of 37 C and inhibited 40C, respectively. Strain ATCC 35211, however, grew well up to 39C but did not multiply at 40C. A bactericidal effect (dying of Borrelia burgdorferi) was seen at 41 c for the strains B31 and PKo and at 42 c for al...

In this video I give a brief summary of the methods I used to heal myself from Lyme and co-infections. I was sick with Lyme for 3 years and it took me around 10 months to heal myself. I healed myself by taking a protocol developed by a kinesiologist & a naturopath in Melbourne. (Peter Gibson & Judy Meagher) I used a combination of herbs (rotating on a monthly basis), vitamins, supplements and liver support. Dr. Natasja Fox also helped me with my liver detox pathways and mineral levels. I was taking digestive enzymes, I changed my diet from vegetarian to strict HFLC paleo diet (no wheat, dairy, grains, legumes, sugar, artificial foods etc). I drank a lot of organic bone broth to heal my gut, undertook several fasts (5 days at a time), did coffee enemas, regular acupuncture treatments, oc...

Lyme disease is an illness that’s caused by bacteria carried by infected ticks. If you’ve been bitten by a tick and show any of the early symptoms of Lyme disease, you should see your doctor. Lyme disease has three stages: Early localized Early disseminated Late Early-localized stage Lyme disease Typically, a large, raised, red spot (erythema migrans) appears at the site of the bite, usually on the thigh, buttock, or trunk or in the armpit. The spot usually disappears after about 3 to 4 weeks. About 25% of infected people never develop—or at least never notice—the characteristic red spot. Early-disseminated stage Lyme disease This stage begins when the bacteria spread through the body. Fatigue, chills, fever, headaches, stiff neck, muscle aches, and painful, swollen joints are common. In n...
