Benito Mussolini was a well known Socialist before World War 1. But the lead up to Italy's entry into the conflict caused a split between the Socialists and the pro-interventionist Fasci. During the war, Mussolini was sent to the Isonzo Front where he became even more popular. After being sent home, he continued his agitation with great financial support from France, Britain and Italian industrialists.

After months of work, I present to you the Rise and Fall of Benito Mussolini. In this video, we discuss Mussolini's upbringings/early life to his eventual death. Benito Mussolini is a historical figure I feel that many people have heard of but not many people know that much about him. I feel I have covered almost everything there is about him (that is relevant to his rise/fall), but please feel free to mention anything I missed down in the comments.
Also some big milestones the channel has just recently achieved includes reaching over 250 subscribers and having the King of England video reaching over 10,000 views! All with the channel turning 1 year old. This feels insane to me that there is so much support behind this channel and I cannot thank you enough for sticking around. I am going to try to get in the schedule of uploading 2 videos per month from now on. There may be some difficulties with this in the coming months as I am starting college and that could become hectic, but I will not give up on this channel. I hope to not let that become an issue and I hope to continue to deliver the highest quality content I possibly can.

Bio je na zlom glasu kao jedan od osnivača fašizma, i čuven kao majstor prljave političke propagande. Njegova uloga u Drugom svetskom ratu nije do kraja definisana. Brojna pitanja u vezi sa njim ostala su bez odgovora.

As Stalin established firm control over the Soviet Union, another dictator rose to power in Europe. Who was Benito Mussolini? What type of government did he implement?
During the 1920s, Benito Mussolini established a totalitarian regime in Italy. A powerful and persuasive speaker, Mussolini played on public dissatisfaction with high unemployment, inflation, and frequent labor strikes, as well as fear of communist influence in politics.
Mussolini took advantage of the unstable situation by appealing to Italy’s wounded national pride. He won the support of many Italians by promising to address the economic suffering and the threats posed by communism. In 1921, Mussolini established the Fascist Party. Fascism is a political ideology that stresses extreme nationalism and places the interest of the nation above that of the individual. Fascism also emphasizes the need for a strong leader with the power necessary to address and eliminate the nation’s problems.
In October of 1922, Mussolini led 30,000 of his followers, known as “Black Shirts,” in an event known as the March on Rome. When many of the police, military, and government officials refused to stop the movement, the Italian king appointed Mussolini to lead the government.
Rather than going by the title of prime minister, Mussolini referred to himself as “Il Duce,” meaning “the leader.” Mussolini was granted “emergency powers” that were to last for only one year, but in doing so, the Italian parliament unknowingly established a dictatorship that would last for the next20 years.
Unlike Stalin, who used harsh methods to maintain control over his people, Mussolini sought to win public support. Mussolini praised the Italian people and their past, stirring up emotions by adopting much of the imagery of the Roman Empire. Mussolini glorified the nation’s workers and the middle class while promising to restore Italy to its former position as a world power.
Under fascist rule, Italy had a balanced budget, inflation was eliminated, and the railway system was modernized. However, much of the success stemmed from the fact that Mussolini silenced his opposition. Opposing political parties were disbanded, while the press, radio, and film were used to distribute a ceaseless flow of propaganda. Over time, the fascist extended their control to every aspect of Italian life. The school system was used to indoctrinate children into the fascist ideology. Students wore black uniforms and the concepts of discipline, duty, and obedience were emphasized.
Mussolini also hoped to enhance Italy’s role on the world stage and preached that it was natural for strong nations to conquer weaker ones. Ethiopia, one of the few remaining independent nations in Africa, became his first target.
Haile Selassie, the Emperor of Ethiopia, pleaded with the League of Nations for support as thousands of Italian soldiers prepared to invade in 1935. The League of Nations responded with a modest economic boycott of Italy and offered no military assistance as Selassie was forced to flee. Ethiopia was conquered and officially annexed by Mussolini in May of 1936.

Benito Mussolini
Benito Amilcare Andrea Mussolini (Italian pronunciation: [beˈniːto mussoˈliːni]; 29 July 1883 – 28 April 1945) was an Italian politician, journalist, and leader of the National Fascist Party, ruling the country as Prime Minister from 1922 until his ousting in 1943. He ruled constitutionally until 1925, when he dropped all pretense of democracy and set up a legal dictatorship. Known as Il Duce ("the leader"), Mussolini was the founder of fascism.
In 1912 Mussolini was the leading member of the National Directorate of the Italian Socialist Party (PSI). Prior to 1914 he was a keen supporter of the Socialist International, starting the series of meetings in Switzerland that organised the communist revolutions and insurrections that swept through Europe from 1917. Mussolini was expelled from the PSI due to his opposition to the party's stance on neutrality in World War I. Mussolini denounced the PSI, and later founded the fascist movement. Following the March on Rome in October 1922 he became the youngest Prime Minister in Italian history until the appointment of Matteo Renzi in February 2014. After destroying all political opposition through his secret police and outlawing labor strikes, Mussolini and his fascist followers consolidated their power through a series of laws that transformed the nation into a one-party dictatorship. Within five years he had established dictatorial authority by both legal and extraordinary means, aspiring to create a totalitarian state. Mussolini remained in power until he was deposed by King Victor Emmanuel III in 1943. A few months later, he became the leader of the Italian Social Republic, a German client regime in northern Italy; he held this post until his death in 1945.

In October of 1922, Mussolini led 30,000 of his followers, known as “Black Shirts,” in an event known as the March on Rome. When many of the police, military, and government officials refused to stop the movement, the Italian king appointed Mussolini to lead the government. Rather than going by the title of prime minister, Mussolini referred to himself as “Il Duce,” meaning “the leader.” Mussolini was granted “emergency powers” that were to last for only one year, but in doing so, the Italian parliament unknowingly established a dictatorship that would last for the next20 years. Unlike Stalin, who used harsh methods to maintain control over his people, Mussolini sought to win public support. Mussolini praised the Italian people and their past, stirring up emotions by adopting much of the imagery of the Roman Empire. Mussolini glorified the nation’s workers and the middle class while promising to restore Italy to its former position as a world power. Under fascist rule, Italy had a balanced budget, inflation was eliminated, and the railway system was modernized. However, much of the success stemmed from the fact that Mussolini silenced his opposition. Opposing political parties were disbanded, while the press, radio, and film were used to distribute a ceaseless flow of propaganda. Over time, the fascist extended their control to every aspect of Italian life. The school system was used to indoctrinate children into the fascist ideology. Students wore black uniforms and the concepts of discipline, duty, and obedience were emphasized. Mussolini also hoped to enhance Italy’s role on the world stage and preached that it was natural for strong nations to conquer weaker ones. Ethiopia, one of the few remaining independent nations in Africa, became his first target. Haile Selassie, the Emperor of Ethiopia, pleaded with the League of Nations for support as thousands of Italian soldiers prepared to invade in 1935. The League of Nations responded with a modest economic boycott of Italy and offered no military assistance as Selassie was forced to flee. Ethiopia was conquered and officially annexed by Mussolini in May of 1936. -

After months of work, I present to you the Rise and Fall of Benito Mussolini. In this video, we discuss Mussolini's upbringings/early life to his eventual death. Benito Mussolini is a historical figure I feel that many people have heard of but not many people know that much about him. I feel I have covered almost everything there is about him (that is relevant to his rise/fall), but please feel free to mention anything I missed down in the comments.

I am going to try to get in the schedule of uploading 2 videos per month from now on. There may be some difficulties with this in the coming months as I am starting college and that could become hectic, but I will not give up on this channel. As Stalin established firm control over the Soviet Union, another dictator rose to power in Europe. Who was Benito Mussolini? What type of government did he implement?
During the 1920s, Benito Mussolini established a totalitarian regime in Italy. A powerful and persuasive speaker, Mussolini played on public dissatisfaction with high unemployment, inflation, and frequent labor strikes, as well as fear of communist influence in politics.
Mussolini took advantage of the unstable situation by appealing to Italy’s wounded national pride. He won the support of many Italians by promising to address the economic suffering and the threats posed by communism. In 1921, Mussolini established the Fascist Party. Fascism is a political ideology that stresses extreme nationalism and places the interest of the nation above that of the individual. Fascism also emphasizes the need for a strong leader with the power necessary to address and eliminate the nation’s problems.
In October of 1922, Mussolini led 30,000 of his followers, known as “Black Shirts,” in an event known as the March on Rome. When many of the police, military, and government officials refused to stop the movement, the Italian king appointed Mussolini to lead the government.
Rather than going by the title of prime minister, Mussolini referred to himself as “Il Duce,” meaning “the leader.” Mussolini was granted “emergency powers” that were to last for only one year, but in doing so, the Italian parliament unknowingly established a dictatorship that would last for the next20 years.
Unlike Stalin, who used harsh methods to maintain control over his people, Mussolini sought to win public support. Mussolini praised the Italian people and their past, stirring up emotions by adopting much of the imagery of the Roman Empire. Mussolini glorified the nation’s workers and the middle class while promising to restore Italy to its former position as a world power.
Under fascist rule, Italy had a balanced budget, inflation was eliminated, and the railway system was modernized. However, much of the success stemmed from the fact that Mussolini silenced his opposition. Opposing political parties were disbanded, while the press, radio, and film were used to distribute a ceaseless flow of propaganda. Over time, the fascist extended their control to every aspect of Italian life. The school system was used to indoctrinate children into the fascist ideology. Students wore black uniforms and the concepts of discipline, duty, and obedience were emphasized.
Mussolini also hoped to enhance Italy’s role on the world stage and preached that it was natural for strong nations to conquer weaker ones. Ethiopia, one of the few remaining independent nations in Africa, became his first target.
Haile Selassie, the Emperor of Ethiopia, pleaded with the League of Nations for support as thousands of Italian soldiers prepared to invade in 1935. The League of Nations responded with a modest economic boycott of Italy and offered no military assistance as Selassie was forced to flee. Ethiopia was conquered and officially annexed by Mussolini in May of 1936.

There were various goals such as preserving Italy's territory, gaining more land, having powerful allies and not having any potent enemies besides the Soviet Union. Mussolini wanted to seem mighty and make people believe that Fascism was successful. Foreign policy would enable him to do this. Italy aimed to retain South Tyrol which it had gained from Austria in 1918. Mussolini wanted Abyssinia, Albania, Tunisia, Egypt and possibly more land. He boasted Italy stretched from the Alps to the Indian Ocean.

TUTELA LEGALE DELLA PARODIA E DELLA SATIRA
Legge 22 Aprile 1941 n.633 (G.U. n.166 del 16 luglio 1941), estratto dall'articolo 1: "Sono protette ai sensi di questa legge le opere dell'ingegno di carattere creativo [...] , qualunque ne sia il modo o la forma di espressione."
Questa legge sancisce, semplicemente, che tutto ciò che è realizzato dall'ingegno creativo è protetto dai Diritti d'Autore. Ne consegue che la creazione di immagini che fanno riferimento al suo umorismo, alle sue doti creative, etc. è un elemento protetto dalla legge e che appartiene al suo creatore, quindi al Parodista.
Legge citata, estratto dall'articolo 3: "Le opere collettive, costituite dalla riunione di opere o di parti di opere, che hanno carattere di creazione autonoma, come risultato della scelta e del coordinamento ad un determinato fine [...] artistico, [...] sono protette come opere originali, indipendentemente e senza pregiudizio dei diritti di autore sulle opere o sulle parti di opere di cui sono composte."
Questa legge è piuttosto importante nell'ambito della parodia. Si indica che un'opera creata unendo altre opere o parti di esse è da considerarsi autonoma qualora fosse il risultato di una scelta artistica. Opera da considerarsi, inoltre, protetta come opera originale e senza pregiudizio su altri diritti d'autore già esistenti.
Legge citata estratto dall'articolo 4: "Senza pregiudizio dei diritti esistenti sull'opera originaria, sono altresì protette le elaborazioni di carattere creativo dell'opera stessa, quali [...] le trasformazioni da una in altra forma [...] artistica, le modificazioni ed aggiunte che costituiscono un rifacimento sostanziale dell'opera originaria, gli adattamenti, le riduzioni, i compendi, le variazioni non costituenti opera originale."
In questa legge si sottolinea che le modifiche e le aggiunte eseguite ad un'opera già esistente (nel caso della parodia una nuova elaborazione di nuovi testi, nuove scene amatoriali, scritte, effetti speciali, proprie immagini, ecc.), sono protette e senza pregiudizio di diritti d'autore già esistenti.
Direttiva 2001/29/CE del Parlamento europeo e del Consiglio, del 22 maggio 2001(GU n. L 167 del 22/06/2001), estratto dall'articolo 5: "Sono esentati dal diritto [...] gli atti di riproduzione [...] privi di rilievo economico proprio che sono [...] parte integrante e essenziale di un procedimento tecnologico [...]", in particolare al paragrafo 3 lettera K "quando l'utilizzo avvenga a scopo di caricatura, parodia o pastiche."
Questa direttiva è specifica per la parodia. In questo senso, la legge specifica che è possibile distribuire un'opera parodiata senza scopo di lucro e senza dover sottostare a diritti d'autore già esistenti.
Trib. Milano 29 gennaio 1996, in Foro it.,1996, I, 1426 e in Dir. Industriale, 1996, 479, n. MINA; Trib. Milano 15 novembre 1995 in Giur. It., 1996, I, 2, 749, in particolare alla dichiarazione: "A questo proposito, cercando di analizzare giuridicamente questo caso, va premesso che la parodia, secondo la giurisprudenza, si risolve sempre in un'opera autonoma e distinta rispetto a quella di riferimento e non richiede il consenso da parte del titolare del diritto di utilizzazione economica. L'opera pertanto sarà imputabile solo al parodista e giammai, neanche in parte, all'autore dell'opera parodiata."
Articolo 21 della Costituzione Italiana, "Tutti hanno diritto di manifestare liberamente il proprio pensiero con la parola, lo scritto e ogni altro mezzo di diffusione". E' dunque assicurato il diritto "di satira come diritto fondamentale costituzionale".
