Drone or drones may refer to:
Parrots, also known as psittacines /ˈsɪtəsaɪnz/, are birds of the roughly 393 species in 92 genera that make up the order Psittaciformes, found in most tropical and subtropical regions. The order is subdivided into three superfamilies: the Psittacoidea ("true" parrots), the Cacatuoidea (cockatoos), and the Strigopoidea (New Zealand parrots). Parrots have a generally pantropical distribution with several species inhabiting temperate regions in the Southern Hemisphere, as well. The greatest diversity of parrots is in South America and Australasia.
Characteristic features of parrots include a strong, curved bill, an upright stance, strong legs, and clawed zygodactyl feet. Many parrots are vividly coloured, and some are multi-coloured. Most parrots exhibit little or no sexual dimorphism. They form the most variably sized bird order in terms of length.
The most important components of most parrots' diets are seeds, nuts, fruit, buds, and other plant material. A few species sometimes eat animals and carrion, while the lories and lorikeets are specialised for feeding on floral nectar and soft fruits. Almost all parrots nest in tree hollows (or nest boxes in captivity), and lay white eggs from which hatch altricial (helpless) young.
Scratch programming is easy -- Drone programming is not. Learn to program Drones easily with Scratch using a Scratch Extension developed by Camp K12. Anshul from Camp K12 shows you how to program drones to fly around a room and even do front-flips using just a few lines of Scratch code. Scratch Extension available on GitHub at: https://github.com/campk12/ScratchForARDrone Learn more about Camp K12 at: http://campk12.com

Ryan Boland on Embedded Programming for Quadcopters Ryan tells us how he built a drone from scratch, including which components you'll need and how the code works to keep the copter flying. We lost audio for 2 minutes. It was cut out, but if anything isn't clear because of this, we're sorry. It's still full of great information. Drone Stories: Controlling Drones with Linux Coding Linux to control drones has been around for some time now, this video shows some detail ways to use Linux to control drones along with some cool ideas using hand gesture that can be adapted to flying drones. Open source Linux is a great way to control drones for hobbyist that is easy to learn and lowers cost of flying drones. The video is long but well worth the details of the two major sections from experts in the field of UAV's / Drones used for personal use and commercial drone use. 8 year old Kedar from Camp K12's Geeks-in-Residence program shows you how to code a quadcopter (drone) using a visual programming language to rise up, spin, and land. Camp K12 is all about giving young kids like Kedar the chance to make and do things with technology that seem inaccessible, too difficult, or impossible. But as 8-year-old Kedar proves, it's never too early to start! Learn more at http://campk12.com

Drones are fun to play with, especially when you can code them to do what you want. During an iPads for education conference, teachers learned how to control drones by coding. This was a visually way to learn the basic concepts of how to code. The drones used were from Parrot http://www.parrot.com/usa/ The iPad app used for coding was Tickle https://tickleapp.com/ Really fun to experience! To fly the drones, the teachers had to program exactly what the drones should do.....take off, go forward, come back, land. If you didn't program a complete loop, the drone ended up crashing. Definitely some good crashes happened at the beginning; however, the teachers very quickly learned how to correct their coding mistakes and become better pilots. Overall, I felt it was very visually and in...
=== Final code is on GitHub: https://github.com/ivanseidel/EasyFly === Want to learn about coding robust application on embedded applications? Then this Live Stream/Video might teach you one or two things about it.. This class will consist of a few "parts": - Part 1 (Overview): - Introduction to the Drone itself. - Electronics integration of the project (a One-layer micro-hexa-drone) - Mechanical overview (SolidWorks design) - Part 2 (Software::Theory): - A fast-look into a few Drone frameworks - Modularisation (Let's group things, and explain them) - PID Controll (Yaw, Pitch, Roll) - Attitude/Orientation: Quaternion - Part 3 (Software::Code!) - Anything else goes here! I really don't know what will come up from this. It probably won't make a drone fly because of the missing...
