The family of a 19-year-old woman killed in a freak farm accident on Monday morning have paid tribute to their "beautiful" and "compassionate" daughter.
Dalyup local Alexandra Henderson was found unconscious by a co-worker on a farm at around 11.30am.
It is understood she was herding a bull when she was struck into a fence railing by the animal.
She was rushed to Esperance Hospital under priority, but passed away a short time later.
Ms Henderson's family later released a statement saying they were thankful for the support they had received from their local community following Alexandra's death.
"As any family would be, we are devastated by the sudden loss of our beautiful daughter Alexandra. We are consoled at this time by the fact that she was in a happy place at this time in her life," the statement said.
"She was working on a property she loved, with people she cared for and respected and who cared for and respected her.
"Alexandra was only young but she had worked with animals and farm livestock in particular her whole life, including cattle. She was a competent horsewoman, breaking and training our horses. She was also a compassionate person who cared deeply about her world and the living things she shared it with.
"We are buoyed at this time by the fact that we have spent so much time with her, and that we live in a community which has supported us with an outpouring of love and support.
"We are also incredibly appreciative of those who tried to keep our lovely child with us, those attending the scene at the farm, the ambulance crews and the team at the Esperance District hospital who did all within their power to prevent her from leaving us too soon."
Investigations into Ms Henderson's death are ongoing.
