Donate to IndymediaIndymedia is a not-for-profit news site that accepts no advertising or commercial support whatsoever. We rely entirely on volunteer labour to keep the site going and donations from users to pay our hosting charges - which are relatively high because of the high level of bandwidth used. For instance in Jan 2012, this was over 25GB a day. If we want to keep on growing we need the community to help out and for users to donate a few euros towards the bills. Don't Hate the Media - Be the Media!Alongside this appeal to keep Indymedia going in this era of giant corporate media promoting austerity, fear, isolation, division, greed, privatisation and generally shamless exploitation, we would like users to not just make a small donation, but to get involved and become part of the media, to write stories of events that you attend and give your own account of what is happening in your community and the struggles in your area and by making use of Indymedia help break the stranglehold of corporate and state propaganda and engage in the fight for a better, more equal and just world.
