Ground may refer to:
Labrador is the distinct northerly region of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It comprises the mainland portion of the province, separated from the island of Newfoundland by the Strait of Belle Isle. It is the largest and northernmost geographical region in Atlantic Canada.
Labrador occupies the eastern part of the Labrador Peninsula. It is bordered to the west and the south by the Canadian province of Quebec. Labrador also shares a small land border with the Canadian territory of Nunavut on Killiniq Island.
Though Labrador's area is over twice that of the island of Newfoundland, it has only 8% of the province's population. The aboriginal peoples of Labrador include the Northern Inuit of Nunatsiavut, the Southern Inuit-Métis of Nunatukavut (NunatuKavut), and the Innu. Many of the non-aboriginal population in Labrador did not permanently settle in Labrador until the natural resource developments of the 1940s and 1950s. Before the 1950s, very few non-aboriginal people lived in Labrador year round. The few European immigrants who worked seasonally for foreign merchants and brought their families were known as Settlers.
The Labrador Retriever, also Labrador, is a type of retriever-gun dog. The Labrador is one of the most popular breeds of dog in the United Kingdom and the United States.
A favourite disability assistance breed in many countries, Labradors are frequently trained to aid the blind, those who have autism, to act as a therapy dog and perform screening and detection work for law enforcement and other official agencies. They are prized as sporting and hunting dogs. A few kennels breeding their ancestors, the St. John's water dog, were in England; at the same time a combination of sheep protection policy (Newfoundland) and rabies quarantine (England) led to their gradual demise in Canada, their country of origin.
In the 1830s, the 10th Earl of Home and his nephews the 5th Duke of Buccleuch and Lord John Scott, imported progenitors of the breed from Newfoundland to Europe for use as gundogs. Another early advocate of these Newfoundland dogs, or Labrador Retrievers as they later became known, was the 2nd Earl of Malmesbury who bred them for their expertise in waterfowling.

Training of Labrador Dog in Kerala _India. When the Dog Barks just ignore it till it drains its energy. Then let it relax and lie to ground, only then give effection. it also jumps, u can see i am not letting it do it as it encourages 'Excited dominance' . I am holding the chain by my foot to avoid the dog jumping. As special leash is also used that moves the head towards you, this is must if the Dog pulls. All problems solved in few days no leash pulling, no jumping, no barking, no chain at all within the premises of the house.
My dog 'Cotton' eats lettuce, cucumber, carrots, peaches, strawberries, bananas, celery and Butterball ground turkey for breakfast.

A British Labrador is the first dog in the world to undergo ground-breaking open-heart surgery to cure a life-threatening condition. Three-year-old pooch Mabel suffered from congenital tricuspid dysplasia, meaning key valves in her heart were effectively fused together. The condition meant her ventricles had just two very small holes for her blood to flow through, leading to Mabel suffering from extreme exhaustion and heart failure. She was referred to cardiology specialists at the Royal Veterinary College's (RVC) Queen Mother Hospital for Animals in Hatfield, Herts. Initial examinations included cardiac ultrasound using a state-of-the-art ultrasound scanner. Professor Dan Brockman performed the six-hour operation, assisted by a large team of specialists including a perfusionist, thre...
8 week lab puppy waits patiently for food. You should start training this with your puppy from the first meals because it's very easy to learn. When giving your dog food, rise the food bowl back up every time the dog tries to come take it too soon. After a few tries the dog should understand that he/she needs to sit down nice and quiet for the food to come down. After the dog stays still even after you put the food bowl on the ground, you can start practicing a permission command. Subscribe for more videos. :)

Memorial Presents "Moving Forward: Building Resilient Fisheries and Coastal Communities in NL" April 16, 2014 Innovation Hall, Bruneau Centre Memorial University, St. John's, NL Event Description Building resilient fisheries and coastal communities for Newfoundland and Labrador's future is one of the most important challenges of our time. Our fisheries have weathered some severe storms in recent decades, especially the collapse of our ground fish stocks in the 1990s; yet, despite this, fishing communities have demonstrated tremendous resilience. Recently some industry leaders have claimed our fisheries are broken—that we need to throw out many existing policies and replace them with Individual Transferable Quotas and vertically integrated companies. But are our fisheries really broken...
